I'm currently making a video game which is like age of empires 2 but is on multiple maps and is multiplayer. Is anyone else making/made their own games?
There's a thread one page back very similar to this one. http://emptyclosets.com/forum/techn...ware/201728-anyone-here-work-video-games.html In the event that this newer one stays though, please explain more about your own. How would multiple maps come into play?
I don't know if this counts, but I've been working on some pokemon rom hacks. Just some amateur stuff; nothing big.
This may seem a bit nerdy, but I've been creating Minecraft plugins whilst I build on my knowledge of Java. I plan on making a game of some sort as I grow older, I head off to College in the next few months, majoring in Computer Science, so I will hopefully be able to make a game once that is done!
I've made some Ogre terrains with meshes (downloaded the meshes from a 3D modeling community, not my own yet since I'm still learning how to make decent stuff). And I've gotten good enough at it that I want to take it to a whole new level. Provided I actually get the money and time to work on it I'd like to make my own furry+animal themed MMORPG for Windows computers. I don't have any advanced coding or texturing experience yet but I do have art skills, determination, and Blender. xD
I have made 2 games, but none of them are videogames, they are boardgames. The other one is designed for kids. It is very similar to chess, and the pieces are (instead of knights, pawns, bishops, etc) animals. The other (the latest) is a strategy boardgame, it is like a combination of Monopoly and Magic: the Gathering.
I started making a ROM once, it was originally for Pokemon, but I started tweaking it until it was a completely original game! However I couldn't figure out how to publish what I had (Make it playable for others, not make money XD) and I kept getting a lot a glitching/game crashed. I eventually gave up despite having the whole story written out
