    This is in JAPAN! Is this for real? Has anyone tried a similar combination anywhere else? I don't know what to think of it. :eek:

    I love Fries and I love chocolates, but combining them isnt really something I have fantasized before. I dont know what to think about this. Maybe I should try it first. Hopefully Philippine Mcdonald's branches would be bold enough to try this

    Reminds me how I scoop at my milkshakes with french fries.

    I'm almost certain that Japan already had chocolate fries at McDonalds. Maybe that was Burger King.

    Doesn't seem like a bad combination in my mind. You have chocolate-coated crisps (chips for the American English speakers around) in the Netherlands actually. The crisps themselves have a neutral flavour. Potato and chocolate can mix, I don't understand the surprise that much. :lol: However, the French fries shouldn't be too salty or oily I think, that would ruin the flavour of the chocolate a little I guess.

    Unfortunately it's McDonald's that's doing this. But for a recipe at home, why not? :slight_smile:

    I like sweet and salty foods, so I'm intrigued, but McDonalds fries really haven't been good since the 80's imo, and most American chocolate is gross also, so I have my doubts that a U.S. version would be any good.

    I had a deep fried Mars bar once.. I'll be honest and say it tasted pretty good. Never tried deep fried ice cream before though.

    I like McDonald's fries but the last time I had them they were too salty. Their McChicken sandwich though - my favourite thing ever. That is literally the only reason I ever go to McDonald's. I only ever went once or twice a year when I was a kid because my mother didn't want me eating it too often.. I think the only time we ever went was at the end of school in summer.
