I love languages and I tried to learn many different ones (6 or 7), but unfortunately it takes a lot of time and constant practice, otherwise you just forget everything again... The only language I'm still learning at the moment is Japanese, but only because I have Japanese friends and meet them regularly and can practice the language a bit. For me language classes work best because you have a teacher who explains things and can help you and you can work together with other people. Having a friend who speaks the language and trying to talk to them also helps a lot.
I absolutely FAIL at learning Korean. Maybe it's because I lack the proper teacher and materials...but it's not sticking. I've been trying to learn since 2010 and I still can't get past the basic phrases I can read and write in Korean though. I just can't translate it Side note: I'm always trying to learn a new language. I've tried French, SPanish, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog, Swedish, and Portugese. I was pretty good at Korean, Tagalog and Japanese tbh. But that was several years ago....
I'm learning Japanese! I'm sooo begginer but I'm really enjoying it! I also speak kinda fluent Spanish (mother tongue) and fluent English I can correct phrases if you'd like. Anyone else with Japanese? Currently learning to speak it. I can write and read slowly all kanas. I still mess up with them though
My first language is French. I'm still learning English (even if it's in a mostly passive way) and I'm studying Spanish in my spare time ! My school also teaches Dutch but I'm really, really bad at it because I'm not actually interested in it. Once I'm better at Spanish, I'd love to start learning Swedish and Italian !
