    Hi Guys,

Anyone who identifies as homosexual - could you masturbate solely to the thought of the opposite sex. Obviously I understand that you wouldn't but do you think you could? How do you think it would be? Hard work, satisfying, impossible? I'm talking more about using your own thoughts than watching porn but I'd be interested in anyone with input.

The reason for my question is that I think I'm bisexual but I'm having a hard time accepting that as fact. I can masturbate, with or without porn, to the thought of males or females with pretty much equal satisfaction. My preference might change day by day but at any point I could have a pretty much equal experience with either. I feel this will probably be the case in real life as well but have little experience to confirm that.

    Thanks.

Nothing to contribute, but I'm interested to hear what people have to say.

i used to be able to jerk off imagining opposite sex but it was somewhere around 7 years ago? I remembered the feeling was still pleasurable but require a lot of work and some wild imagination. That effect seems fade by time, by the time i went to college it doesn't give me a lift if i was forced to use just my imagination about opposite sex.

Hi there.... although I have 'suspicions' that I'm gay, I certainly don't identify as gay. I have huge amounts of internalised homophobia which I need to breakdown and understand. Since my teenage years I have used female porn and only recently started to watch guys. Ah man, what a confusing mess I'm in lately. :frowning2:

I used to be able to- but not the same way as to women. With women I get turned on simply by looking at a nude picture, or imagining it.- this is enough stimulation.
When I was in denial I would imagine anonymous couples together, 'making love' or I would imagine myself with a guy I had feelings for, again the romantic element/ or their desire had to be there to be able to get turned on to this- essentially I got off to the idea of a guy wanting me.
It took a lot of work. Now when I try to think about guys, eventually I move onto thinking about women, it just does not work for me anymore.

    Not anymore, no.

Just the thought of a hot guy can get me hard within seconds. With women it's essentially impossible now no matter how long I stare at their booty or fantasize about it.

    Thanks for the replies guys.
Hey Jax, I used to follow your posts a lot. So you couldn't really masturbate to the thought of women at all now? Am I right in saying you used to masturbate mostly to straight porn (I can't remember for sure)? How long did it take for you to make the transition to the point where you no longer find females arousing at all?

I can't masturbate to straight stuff at all. Imagining myself with a guy isn't arousing enough. I can masturbate to two men having sex with each other. Just not the straight stuff.

For me, yes. The opposite sex is the key word. Opposite gender ...meh.

I like both but being single I float some. I love watching a guy explode, a cute girl finger, but my favorite is amateur heterosexual where they are both so gorgeous I don't know what to think!

I watch both straight and gay porn, but more so straight porn, so yes you are correct. Things have changed, knowing now that I'm much happier with a man, the idea of masturbating to a woman doesn't do very much for me anymore. I'll pay attention to the guy anyways regardless of the type of porn I'm watching.

How long did it take me? At the moment, I still watch straight porn and I imagine myself as the guy, but even so it's the appearance of the man that I'm attracted to and not necessarily the woman that he's having sex with. In my mind, I find the idea of vaginal sex arousing, and to this day the idea still sticks to my head.

Furthermore, I couldn't always masturbate to just the thought of a woman that I found attractive; there had to be a hot guy there, and I think that's what got me off, it's the general pleasure that the guy was feeling that turned me on.

It really depends. I would say, by-and-large, no. I don't know how much pictures of hot girls would really turn me on, though I don't think it would "turn me off" necessarily. A few times since coming to terms with being gay I've tried to check out straight porn and lesbian porn, and neither did much for me - especially the lesbian porn.

When I masturbate without porn, I don't think about women.

I usually masturbate with porn. When I identified as bisexual, I watched straight and bisexual porn, and focused my attentions on the guys. Now that I identify as gay, I predominantly watch gay porn.

From what I've seen, fantasies do change as people reach greater levels of self-acceptance. A lot of people here on EC (and in other places) have described that as they accept their same-sex attraction more, their arousal to opposite-sex fantasies or porn tends to fade.

If, over time, your arousal remains equal to same and opposite sex fantasies, (or, for that matter, if you continue to have opposite-sex fantasies that are arousing) it's safe to say you're bisexual. But I wouldn't rule out the possibly that you could see your opposite-sex arousal slowly fade into the background.

I have never ever had an orgasm thinking of women. It was always my best friend 14 years old to 18. After that, always men without faces.
