I'm not one of those guys who out and out cries at songs, but one always gets to me: "Iridescent" by Linkin Park. The chorus of that song, especially, gets me almost every time I hear it.

I take that back. This song has brought tears to my eyes a few times. But it was almost exclusively when I was back in college, almost a hundred miles from my family.

For the most part, I don't cry at songs. But those two have a track record of getting to me.

Troye Sivan - TALK ME DOWN
Out of context, and without the musicnvideo, I might not have, but I still would have been awfully sad

Perhaps not makin' me cry but truly affects my feeling at a greater rate than others:

Raggedy Doll - Philippa Hanna

I'm actually somewhat close to cry since I think it's a very cute song about someone's favorite toy (in this song and case: A rag doll:slight_smile: ). Philippa has a sweet voice and the melody and lyrics are cute^^

Reflection - Christina Aguilera

This song tells quite abit of how I live today. Wearin' a mask and are bein' able to fool the world but as much as I'm foolin' the world for who I am, I cannot fool my heart for it knows who I truly am behind this mask. I may not cry to this song but it really affects me more than many other songs.

Feels Like Home - Chantal Kreviazuk

One of the most romantic songs that I've ever heard and I love when she's raisin' her voice in the chorus. Although, I listened and sang this song to someone I really love. My very first true love. Since she lived in California and me here in Sweden, we tried our best to keep in touch as much as possible and one day I came over to spend X-mas and New Year's Eve. I remember one time when we were on the highway to Las Vegas when she felt sleepy and wanted to rest a while against my knees. I just stroke her hair gently as I sang that song. Today I have a harder time to listen for it's a memory of one of the happiest moments in my life

And to finish it all off, I'm very weak when it comes to lullabies. Specially Brahm's Lullaby, those melodies just grab my heart and make my tears come out:slight_smile:

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack. So intense - so personal. It just makes me go so crumpled inside.

"If You Say So" by Lea Michele

It was written about her boyfriend, Cory Monteith, after he died.

"Open Your Eyes" by School of Seven Bells.

It's a song off their just-released final album - the band had two members, Ally Deheza and Benjamin Curtis; they both dated for a while and then broke up but remained band members. Then Benjamin was diagnosed with cancer, and he and Ally kept making music while he was in treatment. Then he passed away; even though they had broken up, Ally said later that she felt like he was her soulmate and she lost him.

It's such a heartbreaking story and I feel like this song tells it.

It depends on my mood.
"Dark Enough" can do it
Or "Her last words"
But one that almost always gets me is "If you could see me now."

This song used to make me feel tearful sooo much!!!! I still listen to it on the days I feel really lost.

"Talk Me Down" by Troye Sivan made me cry the first time I ever listened to it. The sense of longing and loss are so heartbreaking, especially in the opening lines:
"I wanna sleep next to you
But that's all I want to do right now
And I wanna come home to you
But home is just a room full of my safest sounds"

"Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls is another one. It's so raw. I think everyone can relate to the chorus at some point in their lives.

Also "Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross always gets me going, and so does "Lady in Red" by Chris De Burgh. It's an odd one to mention but it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life.

Camel - Stationary Traveller

This is just plain so powerful and deep it makes it me cry. But it also makes me smile because it reminds me of some good times with a great friend who introduced me to this song.

Infected Mushroom - Pink Froid

Just powerful and beautiful. Both Stationary Traveller and this song give me strange electrical feelings throughout my body when I listen to them with my eyes closed. Aside from that it is a really good psychedelic take on Pink Floyd in my opinion, which is another band which can give me these strange musical "orgasms".

Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever

This was already mentioned, but it is well worth mentioning a second time. In addition to being a really powerful song, it reminds me of how sad my mom was when Freddie Mercury died. She came home from work crying that day.

God-des & She - Inside Your Eyes

It just describes so perfectly how love feels to me.

Christina Aguilera - Hurt

Hold those you love close, make sure they know you love them and forgive them when they make mistakes. You never know if you get the chance to do it tomorrow.

I will confess that Dancing Queen by ABBA occasionally makes me cry for some reason. I know, I'm such a whimp.
