I spilled my drink, and it landed on the edge of the toilet seat as it fell. Then, I picked up the glass and drank the rest of it. Now, I'm worried I'll probably get sick from this. Maybe not, what does everyone think?

No offense, but why were you in the restroom with a drink in your hand in the first place? And how did the glass no break when it hit the toilet basin?

You'd be probably surprised but it's proven there are more dangerous bacteria on smartphones and tablets than on toilets seats, actually even a kitchen sponge is much much more dirtier than a toilet seat, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

I too am trying to visualize this... seriously, there are more important things to worry about. If you were to get sick (unlikely) you'll feel bad for a few days and then be fine.

If the drink did not touch anything then there is no chance of even theoretical contamination. Plus typical home toilet seats are much cleaner than typical kitchen cutting boards in terms of bacteria.

I'm not sure exactly how your glass still had liquid left in it to drink. However, from what you've described, I think it's highly unlikely that you'll get ill.

Sorry, am I missing something here? Did you lick up the drink off the toilet seat?

:roflmao: I'm so sorry for laughing. But this cracked me up. I'm pretty sure that's not what he did. But I am still curious as to how he managed to drink it when the glass fell.

Almost certainly not, assuming you have a normal immune system.

You spend every moment of every day moving through a sea of germs and bacteria of all descriptions. They cover every surface around you, including your own skin, and fill the air you breath. You can disinfect everything in sight, and something will grow back or move in within a short time of you doing so.

However, most of these are harmless and of those that aren't most are destroyed by your immune system without you ever noticing.

    I wouldn't worry about it.
