I hope you bare with me, I'm a tad nervous. I want to say hello to all of you and tell you a little about myself. Please call me Jette, yes it's a nickname but I'm not sure I'm ready for real names, I hope you understand. I am an older individual in a weird place, still at home, and currently seeing a therapist for anxiety and depression. One thing I never thought I'd be questioning is my gender and connection to it, especially at this age. I've been lurking here for a few days and found the community to be the friendliest I've come across. My therapist recommended I speak to other individuals who've gone through similar situations so I hope you'll allow me to be here and interact. Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you did. Pleasantries and happies to all! Jette
Hello at Jette! This is the perfect place to talk to others about what you're going through! Regardless of age, I'm sure there's someone here who has gone through a similar situation. You might want to check out the LGBT Later In Life forum! I hope we can help you find the answers you seek! Welcome to the family! No, I swear those markings weren't there before! I went to bed with a fever, woke up, and poof! Weird things carved in my body!
Thank you everyone! You've made me feel very welcome! (&&&) I look forward talking with you all. Thanks for the suggestion DougTheBicycle, I shall do just that!
Hello, Jette! As you said, EC is definitely made up of a very warm and welcoming community. Being here has sort of opened my mind and I've learnt so many things, and I never feel as if I'm being (negatively) judged at all! You seem really nice, I like forward to talking with you as well and perhaps seeing you around the threads (no pressure :lol!
Hi. I'm new here, how is everyone here? I'm so glad I have found a place with people who are highly understanding.
