Not in that way you dirty perv! What do you like most about Christmas, giving presents or receiving them?

I've always liked giving presents more, I still get far too excited at giving people presents! When they arrive I am quite bad at getting over excited and showing them it

Giver, in all situations :icon_wink. When it comes to Christmas, I dislike receiving presents. It's always so awkward.

    You know me well :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I hate xmas in all its forms. So I don't think I can really answer that. I've bought gifts, though, and put a lot of thought into it. I know my friends have done the same. No chance in hell I'm wrapping anything.

Eh, I guess I'd rather give people shit. It's a no-win situation for me regardless, because then they want to give me something back, and I can't stand the thought of people spending money on me.

    Also this.

Not gonna lie, at first glance I thought this was about sex...

Christmas-wise, I really don't like giving or receiving things.

Giving = having to spend time and money to please somebody in a limited amount of time, wrap the obvious present, and the receiver acts like they didn't expect it coming.

Receiving = having to open presents that are absolutely obvious, receive presents you really hate, and being forced to write meaningless, twelve-letter long thank-you cards.

Neither. Don't do Christmas gifts. I sent Christmas cards to my relatives, they should be happy with that.

Out of curiosity, does selecting the Christmas is the commercialisation of Jesus, I am offended by your joy option imply one is a christian?

No, just the last time I made a poll some snowflakes wanted a 3rd option. So I have made sure to accommodate those who are non-binary with presents :roflmao:

Partially agree with the third option, but within reason, I prefer to give.

I like giving gifts. Although this year I need to receive more and can't give as generously because I'm a little broke.

Also I can't wrap gifts to save my life

At this point, strictly receiver. Although my involvement with Christmas is at an all time low.

Years back, though, when my mother was still alive, I think I liked giving her gifts better than getting them. I enjoyed the challenge of finding nice gifts, and doing surprises. I liked wrapping them--not good at wrapping, but I liked making bows, and got creative with paper and the like at times. The gift I remember the best was a year when I knew she'd like two different items. She dropped hints about both. So...I made my choice, and a large package appeared under the tree. My mother took one look, and probably assumed I'd gone with the biggest box I could so she'd never guess what was in it! And she was surprised to open it, and find both items she'd liked in one box...

I'm a receiver. While I did give presents for christmas on a few occasions, I didn't buy them with my money (never had a job), so it doesn't really count. To me, giving someone a present involves more than just taking from my allowance and going to a shop, it also should involve my hard work in some sort of paid job, and using my hard earned money to purchase it.
