I liked it. Of course it wasn't perfect, but no Star Wars movie ever was. The plot was recycled but had more than a few great moments, the characters were solid, Han Solo was Han Solo. And this was certainly one of the darkest movies.

    Disappointed.

Pretty predictable. Too much copy and pasting from Episode IV. So we're doing another Death Star...unbelievable. And the Empire, it's bAAaack. "Here we go again"; I'm surprised Han or Leia didn't say this at some point, to throw in another blatant reference to the OT. Enough already!

I agree, you have one of the most interesting characters set up, a female stormtrooper commander (AND played by one of the most unusual and striking modern female actresses)...and then practically have her in the background and outsmarted in seconds.

Criminally underused. That is the main thing I hate about Star Wars films...the backstories and canon material is actually more interesting than what gets shown in the films (I find the films quite boring tbh). Take General Grevious (sp?) in the third prequel, barely any airtime yet reading the character wiki page his story (with his wife etc) is actually more interesting than the film itself.

I loved the individual scenes, but on the whole, didn't get it. Now I know what they were talking about with Princess Leia [Carry Fisher] ... she's really attractive.

I agree, although I wasn't disappointed on the whole anyways. I thought it was quite awesome. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Good acting and the lines were well written, The story was a bit predictable and rehashed though.

Intrigued about the First Orer though.

I'd go see it, but I'm afraid there's not going to be enough sex scenes to keep me from getting bored. That's one problem with these films, lots of lasers and explosions, but not a lot of sex. I'd at least like a droid sex-scene, to liven things up, and make kids ask questions that embarrass their parents...

By the way, does anyone else ship Poe Dameron and Finn? I definitely noticed some chemistry there.

I thought when Poe said 'my jacket suits you' to Finn I totally got a vibe that Por fancies Finn! Haha

My 12 year old sister does apparently. I actually ship Finn and Rey myself, with Poe being the third wheel who eventually finds a love interest in the Resistance.

The empire never went away. The rebels killed the emperor and destroyed the death star, but they still had thousands of ships and millions of soldiers.

I thought it was so-so. Feel like we're seeing a similar story to 4-6 all over again.

Well it wasn't as bad as the prequels.
