    I just wrote the longest comment in the comments section of my letter to the editor, complete with literature cited and everything my bio professor told me to put in there. Hopefully they get it after reading that. One of these people said he needs to know why ice caps are melting on Mars and why the last ice age happened and thawed before believing that humans are playing a part in climate change. First of all, Mars is an entirely different planet with an entirely different climate and atmosphere so it's irrelevant. The cause of the last ice age and the way it thawed are available through a simple google search, which I did.

    are we talking the little ice age, or the last great ice age?
    The little ice age happened between 1300-1870. It was no where near as bad as the last Great Ice Age, but it did give raise to the growing of potatoes through out Europe as corps such as wheat suffered during this time.
    I guess since its not considered a true ice age it wouldn't count though :/

    I'm assuming he was talking about the last great ice age, I doubt he knows there was even a little ice age. I went off of that assumption in my comment

    Thank you! I have a bio professor backing me up and helping me argue, so that's nice. People in my county are just so stupid and I can understand why now. Every time someone tries to write a letter to the editor to educate people, they take out important details and make it sound like a political statement

    It's weird knowing a guy from my high school is now a professional male model and soccer player. I remember thinking he was handsome when I was assigned to do his senior yearbook ad, and now sometimes his image pops up in random places.
