News corporations seem oh so very saddened by this Egyptian plane hijacking not being terrorist-related.

Once upon a time, I might have described myself as an open-minded person. It is a rather neat dichotomy. One is 'good', and the other is 'bad'. Things are not so simple. I've found myself loath the usage of the terms. Open-mindedness has somehow become synonymous with accepting all sorts of outlandish notions without critically examining their merits. It has become a battlecry for people, who find that there are someone who disagree with their ideology. Sticking up to my values is not 'narrow-minded'. If that how people want to see it, then so be it.

I can't wait for this semester to be done.

And if I ever catch wind of any of you giving your campus security a hard time, I WILL find you.

    Heteronormativity sucks.

Why is my family so oblivious? I feel like bashing my head against the wall anytime they talk about me possibly getting a 'girlfriend' in the future. :bang:

I'm thinking of how much people misunderstand the term extroversion, and how introversion has become some trendy new thing all the cool kids do: But not all extroverts are loud, and go to noisy parties, and immerse themselves in huge crowds: Though they are energized by interactions with other people, and the world around them, which many, in their alone hours, reflect upon, write about, and then, communicate to others. I'll have to say, I'm almost a bit annoyed at how much flack it seems a person gets anymore if they say they're 'extroverted', as if they lack depth, empathy and emotion.

I think, though, that the terms get over-simplified, and that one often labels themselves based on what may be depression or anxiety, or a host of other things, rather than looking at the complexity of themselves, and their range of interactions with the world.

I'm refraining from using the terms altogether. Things do tend to be over-simplified when they are presented in pairs. The more I read about I-E, the more vague and complex it gets. Like a vaguely mass of complexities.
I just chalk it up to everyone needs socialization. Everyone needs alone time. Sometimes one is preferred over the other. Subject to change.

    Rheumatoid arthritis?

Lack of sleep increases "inflammation." Many drugs that treat RA (e.g Humira) suppress inflammation by TNF-alpha inhibition. I believe lack of sleep elevates TNF-alpha levels.
