LGBT News Same Sex couples can now adopt in Portugal!

It is not the final voting yet, but the left wing has already taken the first step.

After all the law projects that have the goal of legalizing the adoption for same sex couples were approved, even a couple few right wing deputies stood up to clap. To everyone that defends this cause, history was made yesterday morning in the Portuguese parliament.

The galleries where full, and not only by representatives of some LGBT rights associations: most of the public were, in fact, children.
The arguments and counter-arguments are worn out, as the theme has been discussed too many times ever since same sex marriage was legalized.

In Portugal, there already were same sex couples living together, but only one would apply for adoption, so, technically, only one would be the parent of the child.


Yesterday was the first day of the lives of those who want to love even more.
Yesterday, ignorance and prejudiced were filed to free space for the freedom to love bigger without being on the wrong side of the law.
Loving according to the law - may seem like a strange concept, but is one that had to be fought for.
Yesterday was big big day.
