I'm not American, but I thought I'd just say, I'd like to see Bernie Sanders win.

Kasich is probably my preferred candidate, but it seems highly unlikely he'll get the nomination. Bush is probably the only other Republican candidate I'd consider, so I'll likely have to vote for Hillary though I'm not a fan.

I probably won't vote because I am apathetic (and maybe part of the reason America is going to the crapper). However, if I did vote I would probably vote for Bernie Sanders. He seems the most honest and the most concerned about average American people. However, even though he has been a politician for decades, I question his ability to play the game of politics. I'm not sure what he could get done, but it would be interesting to see him try. Hillary seems like she would have a better ability to get things done. However, she doesn't seem genuine and with her it will be "business as usual in America." Nothing will change. At all. I don't know much about the other democratic candidates. As for the republicans, they are all a big joke. Donald Trump is delusional and has no idea what he is doing and I seriously think he would start WWIII because he seems quite volatile. In addition, it would simply be an embarrassment if Americans elected a reality TV star, as superficial as that sounds. Ben Carson has no grasp of basic history and is either extremely religious to the point where he ignores scientific fact -- a very dangerous quality for a man running the USA. Hopefully he is just using that lunacy to appeal to his constituency, but still. If he believes that, he is wacky. The other republicans are not significant enough to come to mind.

Those three "Donald Trump" votes are concerning to me.

After saying some pretty distasteful things about the Homosexual Community, I'm surprised Ben Carson has any votes at all..

The 6 people who said Trump and Carson, whether or not it was a joke, make me sad.

Donald Trump- People think i'm joking i lost a facebook friend over supporting him. I agree with a lot of things he said and he brings up a lot of good points for issues.

The free things Bernie wants to hand out for people he said he would have to raise everyone taxes. I pay enough taxes out of my checks so people can get free things and sponge off the system.

Americans have one of the lowest tax burdens in the OECD - and this shows in the quality of your public services, amongst other things. Americans might be more receptive to higher taxation if they were able to see how well and effectively tax money is spent in other countries, instead of expecting the private sector to pick up the burden (which is totally insane considering their only goal is to generate profit for shareholders).

This idea that certain people have - that left-wingers are socialists who want to give everyone free stuff - is precisely why the US will never change.

Finally, an excuse (albeit thin) to post this gif:

I'd go for Hillary, btw, for pretty much the same reasons OnTheHighway mentioned.

It is so sad that the gay community has become some sort of cult in a way. You cannot support anyone but a democrat and you cannot do this and that. Regardless if your a democrat and a republican i think we need to realize both parties have become a part of the problem and despite the impossible challenge i think a Independent party candidate would be great for this nation and i am considering voting for one no matter if they lose. I don't think Hilary or any republican is worth my vote this year and if a republican wins the election as long as it is a moderate civil minded republican like Bush or Kasich so be it. Maybe it would just help us win back congress and the governorships in the years to come.

I honestly admire Donald Trump for honest and i do agree with his views on immigration and foreign policy. No i don't think he is fit to be president but i sure do respect him getting out there and speaking his mind.

You can do whatever the hell you want. No one is standing between you and the ballot.

I think either Bernie or Hillary will do. Aussie makes a very interesting point regarding authority.

    And no republican president please.

    ...

A cult? Oh, okay. I think our definitions of a cult differ then.

I know I mean it always surprises people when a gay person votes for someone other a democrat. I was not being exactly serious by that remark.

That is in my opinion no justification as to why you said that the gay community has become a cult in a way. But you can have your opinion, it's alright. I leave it at that. =]

You see, that I can understand.

It is much easier to relate to your frustrations when you don't open your argument with lines as hyperbolic and deliberately inflammatory as the one I quoted. They may garner you more attention, but they also make it harder to take you seriously.

Yes it seems inflammatory to say people gather around these two political parties like a cult and become beholden to a two party system. Does not seem like a cult at all. If that is inflammatory to say not my problem.

I'd be interested in knowing what points you actually think are a good idea when it comes to Trump...

Bernie wants to tax the .01% and end BS tax loops billionaires and businesses use. Not so sure where you get he wants to raise "everyone's" taxes. Even IF he did I'd be okay with it as long as we reinvest that money fixing our infrastructure (roads, bridges), lowering tuition, making advances in public transportation (like every other country has).

Not so sure what you mean by "free things" or "sponging off the system" unless you're assuming everyone on welfare is lazy and sponging off tax payers money which has been proven wrong several times.
