A lot of the voters didn't even know the bill dealt with issues aside from bathroom usage. If you ask me, I think the bathroom part of the bill was all the people thought they were voting on and/or cared about. There's no easy way to address the issue. People seem to not have enough education on what being trans actually means. I also guess people will much rather advocate for a third gender neutral bathroom before they allow trans people to use the bathroom of their preferred gender. I guess we have to keep trying.
Its funny because unless you are peeking in at a person you usually can't tell that a trans person is trans. And in that cause who is the real pervert? Its sad that people are so full of hate or just this uneducated. And what is worse is that the rejection affects more than just transgender people, and I doubt these people even care. They just took a giant step backwards in human equality and they don't even realize it.
This sucks. I hate it when people are against this bathroom thing. Like, assaulting someone is not going to be stopped by not having this law.
