I could always relate to super Mario, or Damien from mean girls.

Hmm. Well, there's a fictional character I've created who I understand better than just about any other character ... I relate to her for that reason, but not because I'm anything like her. Kind of odd, I know. But if "relating to" some character means feeling "connected" to them, then there's no other character I'm more connected to. Our minds are different but her heart is my heart. I'll get her full story out some day.

Many of my friends have described me as a combination of Luna Lovegood and Hermione Granger (both from Harry Potter just in case any of you were so uncultured as to not know that), and I think that's a pretty fair description.

I think I relate to Tara from Buffy the most. I'm super shy and unsure of myself, but when I warm up to someone I gain more confidence. I just feel like our personalities are similar.

...I'll give you 5 guesses for one of mine.

As for others, Haruhi Fujioka (Ouran High School Host Club), Swaine (Ni No Kuni), Jack Skellington, the 10th Doctor (kinda loose now), and kinda Italy Veneziano (Hetalia). When I was little, I related to Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls. I...am not really like that anymore. At all. My how the turn tables.

Lisbeth Salander, because we've both gone through a whole lot of crap in life and most of the time, I find myself agreeing with her thoughts.

Also C-3PO, since I have a horrible habit of stressing out about everything. Especially if it's something small and trivial.

Frank Zhang from Heroes OF Olympus, and Sasha and Jean Armin from Attack On Titan
Frank, because he doubts himself so much and thinks he is useless, also he is filled with emotions and he has many flaws. Also he thinks he has no potentials.
As for Armin, he always thinks of himself as weak and a burden (and i think of myself like a burden and weak all the time).
As for Sasha, she has many fears and many faults and flaws as well. She isn't a leader and she isn't the smartest hero, but she is still brave and strong. She is not collected and perfect and she shows emotions.
Jean, oh boy i am so much like him. He has fears. He is weak and he knows it. He can give in to his emotions and he is struggling with his fears and he tries to be brave. Also, he isn't happy with following orders without a reason. He does it, but he hates it. He has a huge pride.
I can say I am a mix between Jean and Frank (mostly Jean).
    Yup.

Hmmm....Rin, eh? I feel like i can relate to Rin to an extent. Especially to his emotional self. He seems like he can kill you and would kill you while in fact he is nothing but a cinnamon bun

Both JD and Elliot from Scrubs, Peter Petrelli from Heroes, and Ayla from 'Clan of the cavebear'.
JD because I have a very vivid imagination, and I'm this nerdy and cuddly person.
Elliot because I can be kind of neutoric and insecure,
Peter Petrelli because I have a saviour complex (I just want everyone to be happy and feel good, often at the expense of my own happiness),
and Ayla because, well... She's a strong, yet vulnerable person, who've had hardship after hardship thrown at her. She might not always have dealt with it perfectly, but she's learned something from each situation and ultimately ends up stronger from it.

Lisbeth Salander (Millenium Trilogy books) and Emma Swan (Once Upon a Time- TV) I think. A mixture of relating to events in their lives and the way they then relate to people afterwards. Moving more from the former to the latter as I get older.

We have similar personalities in some ways. I did wonder whether to make it my avatar (along with a few other characters), but went for Ruby Gloom in the end.

Jace and Clary from the Mortal Instruments series, along with Simon.
    I just... get them.
Being head over heels in love like Clary and Jace are with each other, putting up the shield but being vulnerable like Jace does, and not quite knowing my place in the world like Simon does (at least, that's what I get off of him).
Also, Isabelle and Maryse are both awesome, though I relate more to Maryse in that I get a lot of responsibility put on me sometimes.

And then there's Emma and Julian. So much like me and my best friend Cole.

The Mortal Instruments are just great books. I'm not even done with the series yet, and I'm addicted.

All the rest of the characters I relate to are my own, created by me, for my stories/books/games/art.
Especially my main character in my current project. She pretty much IS me. I just adore her so much, and she treats her brother like I'd treat him if he were mine. Not to mention that she handles depression pretty much like I do, and she has this habit of collecting surrogate family members, one of which I also adore (RIP Kevin).

Hmm... Makka and DTK from Soul Eater... I focus too much on logistics and perfection. I need to be more like Patty...
