And here it is, just finished half an hour ago:
And because this is actually an illustration for my book, here's a little context behind the image:
    --
"I've thought this over for the last two days, and no matter how it plays out in my mind, I can't think of one way that this will turn out in my favor." He closed his eyes again and turned away from her. The more he spoke, the angrier he seemed to be getting. "It's easy for you to think more optimistically; the stakes in your life are not as high as they are in mine. If you wind up imprisoned, it only affects you. If I wind up imprisoned, my family suffers for it!"

"I know that!" she shot back, her fists clenched at her sides. "Why do you think I'm trying to help you? I didn't haul my ass back here from Ukraine to get you away from my idiot ex-comrades for my health! I could have just let them take you, and I didn't! I told you, I know why you do what you do, and I'm not willing to let anyone screw that up when I know it would be a waste of time!"

"You came back here for a different reason than that," he said, turning back around to face her. He looked positively enraged, now, and wasn't hiding it well. "It wasn't my family you were concerned about, was it?"

"Don't you dare take that tone with me, Ludwig Engelhardt!" she shouted, poking him in the chest, hard. "You know that's not the only reason I came back, but does it matter why I came back? After all, I got you out of Stuttgart before you even knew anyone was after you! I got your attacker off your back, and even you admitted you couldn't fight him off yourself! I have done nothing but help you! The least you could do is not bite my head off!"

Here's a recent sketch of mine, I think it's the best I can show for my current style/ability. This is of a game character I'm designing for an rpgmaker project...

I haven't done any digital art for a while now, but I used to have a digimon webcomic when I was in high school... I might dredge up some clips from it later if I think to..

    All of those are awesome!

I've never tried digital art...is it easier/harder than traditional drawings? What do you use for it?

It depends really on the artist. For some it's easy but others not so much, for me I can sketch and color easier but my inking/final line work is kinda sloppy but it's easier to fix mistakes or if you decided "hey I don't like that color, let's try this color" you can change it without messing up the rest of the piece. It takes practice just like everything else and a little hand eye coordination.

I know, I'm so frustrated that I have to resort to using a fucking camcorder in order to upload my pictures to my photo album since my parents won't get me a large enough scanner to fit my sketchbook on (it's a rather big book). The only scanner we have only fits 8 1/2" x 11" paper on it, and it's part of our printer, so I can't bring it back and forth between my parent's home and my upstate apartment. I really despise how I work so hard on the little details just to have them never show up anyway on the camcorder picture of it, especially with the glare of the light reflecting off of the colored pencil markings. Ugh, FML. :bang:

I had to use just a simple digital camera. The quality of the images was never very good and there were a lot of details I put in that, when it came time to digitally ink and color them, I had to redraw them all over again on the computer.

And don't get me started about how they looked before I started doing ink and color on the computer; before that, all my art was colored with colored pencils and if the black coloring was laid on too thick there'd be a massive glare and the black would come out looking oddly reddish-grey and metallic. [IMG]

Wow, I love that second one! The detail in all of them is incredible.
