It seemed like a great idea to me at first but then I started thinking. I don't know if anyone is like me, but I'm lazy af. I'm not going outside just to catch an eevee  I'd rather them make another 3ds game

    You're not the only person.

However I think it'll have promise. It's being made by the same people that made Ingress, which is a rather popular mobile game with the same core mechanic. If it was just Nintendo I would figure it'd fall flat on its face.

I like the idea but although a 3DS app would make more sense than a mobile game.

Nah, I still have faith in it that it will be good  Though I wont take the trailer literally, where it would look like Pokemon augmented reality. I still think it would be fun!

No. I'm personally not a fan of mobile games, but I think it has the potential to be very good. It may take time though.

The more I think about it, you know it is kind of a funny concept. Like hey what are you doing at the park? Oh nothing just trying to catch a Pokemon. No big deal

It's something I'll still probably try.

Will it be a potential failure now? It's more likely now, yes, but that's because technology isn't quite to where the trailer implies.

In the future, though, who knows?

I can guess it won't be ideal, and I can imagine some of the issues that might arise. However I think it's the first step in a pretty interesting direction; I sometimes imagine how it'd be to play Pokemon in a virtual reality and all, or to actually have the CGI in the trailer in real life.

I think it has promise, even though it definitely won't be perfect. I'm still going to wait for it to be released and have a go, though I might end up just replaying Pokemon on a DS if I feel the urge to rather than go out to catch some.

Well it'll most likely have similar success to the pokemon event/game that was born from the partnership with google maps a while back which must have been fairly successful or Nintendo wouldn't have bothered with pokemon GO.

Whatevet way you look at it though both parties get a good deal. Nintendo didn't have to do much work on it since it'd be mostly the other company working on it but they still get a good amount of the profits and the other company gains awareness and popularity for itself by working with a big franchise like pokemon.

Or at least that's what I think. I doubt people will be interested in it for long though. Especially since a lot of people don't travel much.

Can't wait till we have VR pokemon like in the trailer though :3

A failure in the creators eyes? No. People are going to play the shit out of this game, therefore it will be a great success.

A failure in the players eyes? I think it might be yes. I personally think it will not be as good as it is being made out to be, and may be a flop.

    Who knows though?

Last time I checked, 3DS does not gather location data, which appears to be what the entire app runs on. Even if it did, making it a smartphone app is the right move; only a fraction of the people in modern countries has a 3DS whereas pretty much everybody has a smartphone. There's a reason that smartphone games are so successful despite generally being garbage and that it because they throw an extremely wide net, which is also why I'd say no--no, I do not believe it will be a failure.

Pokemon dream radar is basically pokemon go but a bit older, and for 3ds.

I want this to be good, it's a good idea, but i bet that it's gonna be kinda bad.

I don't know if it will be a failure but I hope it does fail. I like it better when Nintendo makes full games rather than gimmick products.
