At the moment while I'm in school, just people in the same year as I am, when I get to university I'd be willing to go two years each sude of my age, and if I'm nit in a long term relationship by my 30's/40's I'd be willing to go at five years each side at a push.

Old enough so I do not have to do their homework, but not anyone who looks a year younger or older than I do.

My parents say to only date someone my own age, amd only when I get a driver's licence, but my Mom is 5 years older than my Dad...

For me you have be at least 18 and my rule of thumb is two years older, two years younger, or in between

As some others said, a large age gap (at my age) probably wouldn't look the best. I tend to like older guys than younger guys, so probably 1 year younger and 4 years older.

Because I'm only 14, the age gap is very small for me! I would only date someone 13 or above and my maximum would be 15 or 16 (and maybe 17 but it really depends on who they are and how mature they are).

ideally from 18-23, but if i have a pretty wide extreme limit (from 18 to 45).
the lower limit is not negotiable, it would be inappropriate for me to date someone below 18 even though they are more mature than i am :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Hmm... 1-2 years down... 3-5 years up... something like that.

My wife is actually seven years older than me. I could never date someone younger than me.

Age isn't much of a factor to me at all, though I think there could be an issue with the age gap being too wide, if we're talking a long term thing, for a number of reasons. If we clicked, I would at least try out a date I guess, but can't imagine it truly working out.

I'd say I would date someone up to their mid-late 40s(~ twice my current age), if we're giving a sweet spot of sorts when it comes to range.

I've never dated before though, so...

(This thread is probably old but MEH)

I won't date anyone younger then me. Same year is fine, but younger then me-nope. As for older...I once 'dated' a guy who was twice my age at that time XD He's around 30, now? And I'm 16. It was more of a no strings attached, online relationship. I'm more into mature people, but I realized with that relationship, older is not always more mature. All he wanted was sex, really.

Youngest I could date would be 24, but I do have attraction to those who are much older mentally than they are in actuality. Oldest I would say is 37. I tend to be further behind most 32 year old's in life with my career/money etc. Don't want too much of a power difference.

This reminds me of a thread I posted a while back, lol. I think about this a lot.

I tend to prefer men and women in their 30s and 40s, so 10+ years older than me, especially when it comes to men.

I know it's all different strokes for different folks', but my unusual preference bothers me quite a bit for a multitude of reasons, not least of which is that it's really impractical. It would be so much easier to date if I liked more people my own age.

Hahahaha. Ain't that the truth! Many Asian men seem to be blessed with anti-aging magic. Been in the exact same boat, lol
