So I was thinking about how much this forum is in terms of political views (liberal vs conservative). I of course expect liberal to outnumber conservative, but I'm still curious as to how many conservatives are on this forum.

I probably put myself at a 3 or 4, because I find myself sometimes siding with conservatives on many issues, (but of course still support liberals more)

I was conservative in my youth. I was actually on Orrin Hatch's youth advisory board for a while. The older I get the more liberal I get. On the American political spectrum I'm practically lunatic fringe left at this point.

I don't look too hard into politics, but I consider myself a libertarian. I'm socially liberal and economically conservative. I do however believe in government health care.

Liberal is a bad word for me in Quebec, but it's not the same thing in the states apparently, so I'm more liberal for that standard.

I don't agree with everything the left says, but I agree with like 80% of what they say.

I'm not sure where to classify myself except to say that everything I know about the current Republican Party absolutely repulses me. I'm not exactly a political savant, but I think I'm probably at least liberal-leaning.

I'm far more left than the liberals and pretty much hate everything going on in politics here in the states.

In fact, I'm pretty much a communist.

In US terms, I'm about as left as the Democratic Party will go. In worldwide terms, I'm probably a centrist or centre-left.

I'm pretty much a mainstream liberal by US standards. I have a few areas where I am farther left and a few where I lean quite a bit to the right.

    I'd say I'm about a '3', definitely more liberal.

I'm not really sure what Party would accept my membership. That is primarily due to the fact I don't subscribe to every single stance on every single issue, and even if I do there's some tweak or radical amendment that, quite frankly, alienates me from the base.

Socially, I'm easily closer to the Left. Certain aspects of Anarchism appeal to me, but there's... actually, that's another direction entirely...

After where I stand socially, it would require a mini-essay. I like to sit on the fence and play devil's advocate to all sides and angles. So, for simplicity's sake, I'll put it to you like this:

    I am my own Party.

    How about a "neither" option.
I can't stand either of the extremes.

I hate conservatives extremely. I hate liberals slightly less.

I respect a person who has solidarity with someone who is oppressed and who works to fight protecting them and lifting them up.

Probably a 4, but I don't see things as conservative or liberal. I see things as either establishment/big money or proponents of getting back to populism/power to the people. Basically, I give my support to anyone not funded by fat cat lobbyists on either side of the aisle. I am a center-left libertarian. In the US, I am a moderate as a whole. In EC and the world, I would be seen as center-right.

My views are a mix of John Kasich, Rand Paul, Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, and Bernie Sanders. Get PAC money out of politics and overturn Citizens United. Preserve our liberties. Restore the middle class.

I'm very conservative on the economy, immigration and capital punishment. However, I have liberal views on marriage equality (including polygamy), legalising drug use/sale, free speech, abortion and euthanasia. As I consider my right-wing, conservative views on the economy more important and significant than my liberal views, I put 7. Party-wise, I feel most solidarity with UKIP.

I'm a liberal and put myself down as 'exclusively liberal', but I know plenty who would accuse me of not being sufficiently left wing to be genuinely committed to social reform. I'm very far from the extreme left, but I have a basic commitment to certain values that I tend to defend quite firmly.

I am more than happy to abandon liberalism from time to time to support leftism, as I don't believe in the importance a theoretical, universally applicable freedom above the implementation of justice and fairness in many cases. But it's never truly extreme and option 1 doesn't seem to me to represent more than the values of social democracy and appears specifically to exclude anything further left than that.

Well, I am closets to socialist- where does it put me on this scale?
I am liberal socially, but I am against neo-liberal economics.
