Same. The ending is brilliant. I think I have to relate mostly to Disgust at the moment haha.

 

I haven't seen this movie, but apparently according to the Nostalgia Critic review of Osmosis Jones Inside Out took a lot of its themes and concepts from that show.

 

I'll keep a look out for this when I see it soon

 

My mother and I went to see it this summer, and it was pretty good. My mother literally cried near the end of the film.

I loved it so much I went to see it in theatres twice (with different parents) my theory on Riley's different gendered emotions is that Riley's anger and fear character have more male tendencies, like how I imagine things, is that female anger would be passive aggressive and laid back but male anger is up close and personal. Like her father, Riley is short tempered (dinner table scene, video chat scene) but Riley's mom has a cap on her anger; thus, Riley got the trait, and the emotion, from her father.

 

Loved the movie. I almost cried during a few parts.

Idk why people think they get too old for Pixar/Disney movies. Those are really some good quality movies that have a lot of thought put into them. I don't think we ever get too old for them.

It's pretty interesting because when I was in counselling I was told that my anxiety is not all of who I am. That it is something I need but just not to the extent where I give it power over me.

I have to stop letting fear drive me all the time.

Also the message that it's okay to be sad sometimes? Amazing

 

About Osmosis Jones and Inside Out. I haven't seen Inside Out yet (but I already know enough about the plot) but come on. It's a movie set inside the human body. Only so many directions you can go. That's like saying "28 Days Later" is a rip-off of "Day of the Dead"- same genre, similar tropes, etc. I highly doubt Pixar was intentionally ripping off Osmosis Jones. As any writer/creative type can tell you, it's hard to make anything that can objectively be called 100% original.

 

I just saw it as 'people are themselves', but maybe that's being too simplistic.

 

Yeah, I was wondering about the different gendered thing, too~ I was surprised that everyone else had same gendered ones, but thought it might be because she was still a kid and growing into her emotions (also because they needed to have more variety to get a bigger audience, lol)

I liked how each person had a different emotion as their "head" emotion~ Riley's was Joy, her mom's was sadness, her dad's was anger~ it made me wonder what everyone thought their driving emotion was~ ^.^
