Pie vs. Cake

Because there is a correct answer and an incorrect answer! We must determine the ultimate dessert! :lol:

 

Cake.

God damn it...

I'm not a fan of frosting. I like my cakes without it, but since almost all of them come smothered in frosting, I may go with pie. Unless it's a birthday cake because, come on, it's a cake with my name on it.

Non-meat pies aren't really a thing over here, except for maybe lemon meringue pie. It'd be wrong to compare the one dessert pie I've had to all the different cakes I've experienced in my life.

But it doesn't really matter, since neither of them are pudding.

Cheese cake > Blueberry pie > pies in general > cakes in general

Something like apple pie blows any cake away for me.

 

I don't really care about either, I guess a chocolate cake if I had to choose... I would rather someone just give me an ice-lolly .

 

I chose pie. I would choose pie over cake any day, but they are so very bad for "you" that I rarely make them. Most often, I make chocolate cake with buttercream icing.

Either cake or pie are merely the dessert sidekick to ice cream at best.

 

Cake, but good pies can be good, too. Problem is I've had so many bad pies (or, more accurately, awful crusts).

Mostly cake, but there are certain types of pie that I like, especially pecan and pumpkin pie.

 

It depends on the frosting on the cake... Is it cream cheese or that really sugery one? I only like some pies... Pumpkin pie is my fav though... So I guess both?

 

Neither! Cake is often too sickly sweet, and the only pie I like is pumpkin and chocolate pudding.

I lean more towards cake than pie but I wouldn't say no to either of them.
Except if the pie/cake was really sweet.

 

Pie because I love the crust and strawberry rhubarb pie is art.

But really, brownies and cookies for me, please.

 

It depends.. pie and ice cream is probably the most amazing thing but fudge cake or lava cake...*drool*

I definitely like cake better. The only pie I eat is Pumpkin and I don't eat all that much of it. It's definitely a once a year thing, right around Thanksgiving.
