Agree.
I doubt many people will put it at good use and it will be mainly a cause of problems, especially for closeted children. Never liked these privacy–invasion things.
As for me, Windows 7 forever! :lol:

 

It does run two ways. I don't agree with it being sneakily hilt in, but as a parent I respect the right of a parent to install such on the provision that they tell their children.on the other hand I think LGBT+ need adequate protection too, perhaps there needs to be legally restricted IP addresses etc, whereby they are internationally protected from the parent seeing, but in return they have to provide reasonable safe guards.

 

I think it depends on what the intention is, and what we are trying to prevent from happening.

When it comes to porn - I think nearly all of us here, at least those of us who are male, looked at porn when we were under 18 - at least once. The nature of it changed - from magazines to VHS tapes to online videos - but nearly all of us did. I think there will always be a way around blocking measures when it comes to that.

I can't say that I care, but I'm not a parent so my perspective is completely different, as I have nobody to look out for but myself, and obviously with the internet there is an enhanced risk of predators who take advantage of the gullible.

 

Thankfully my computers run windows 7 and 8, and I have no intention of upgrading either since I love 8 and have finally gotten used to 8 on my other one. My parents wouldn't snoop on me now, but that really sucks for the people whose parents do. Safety is important too, but the 'parental controls' for windows 10 seem kinda extreme. Everyone has a right to privacy, especially closeted teens.

 

I feel lucky they lied about upgrading my computer to Windows 10 when they fixed it.
