Do you avoid coming out to people you're attracted to?

I do because I don't want them to think I'm attracted to them. I also avoid coming out to people if I show a lot of interest in a girl around them. I don't want them to think I'm attracted to her.

I do too. I'm embarrased if another guy would know I like him. It just makes me feel uneasy. Even if you do open up, you have to be willing to face the possible fact that they're not into you, or don't like the same sex.

Actually, the first person I came out to, I told because I was attracted to her. I wanted her to know.

On the other hand, I have avoided coming out to people who might think I'm attracted to them, if I think it would make them uncomfortable. Like a couple girls I had to share a room with for two weeks.

Hell to the yeah I would avoid that(even if I'm not out to anyone anyways). /closet issues pretty much make me feel uneasy about it anyways, since a lot of people I know wouldn't take it well.

'Tis the shame that is living around homophobes/possible homophobes.

Yeah! Actually, coming out to the guy I'm crushing on actually allowed him to reveal he's bisexual! We're not dating, although we wish we were, but it can allow them to open up so you can see if you actually can date!

Coming out to, no. Avoiding in general, yes.

Well I don't directly come out to them because yeah I'm paranoid they will catch onto it but I'll drop casual hints (ie. while talking to someone I know near them) and watch their response

Doesn't work if the person in question is way older. Luckily my attraction for her is fading.

Actually yes. Wow, I can't believe I never thought about that until now. What a mysterious cycle social interactions are.

I know there are a couple guys I find attractive and it is hard just to even look at em. I doubt I could ever actually say anything.

One of my "old" good friends is really attractive. I came out to him no problem.

It didn't end well, I nearly kicked his ass he was such an asshole about it.... can't win them all.

I do avoid it, for the same reasons as the other posters here: I don't want them to know/think that I'm attracted to them and therefore be uncomfortable around me. I'd rather keep someone as my friend for a lifetime and be sad about the unrequited love for a little while than potentially lose them as a friend over something as benign as a crush.

However, i I really, really REALLY like someone and there's a 75% chance they might like me back, and it drives me so insane that my heartbeat gets all fluttery whenever I'm around them, I do mostly tell them, though.
    Not that it happens often.

Never gave it much thought because if I like someone they would never know that I do. I'm too damn shy and still in the closet back home.

I let them know I'm gay if they don't know already, but I don't let them know I fancy them (because most of them are straight *sobs*).

It depends on whether or not I believe they're going to think that I have feelings for them. If I feel like they're going to think of that in any way, I won't say a thing. There would be no point in getting mixed up with all of that, they can find it out naturally and if they have any questions, they can come to me. If they're genuinely concerned that I have feelings for them, then it would be the best time to squash that idea and let the feelings go. I feel that it would be the easiest way to know if the feelings are mutual or not.

I mean for me it doesn't matter. I avoid coming out to people who I don't trust not to tell people. It's not like i'm coming out to someone I find attractive in hopes that I go out with them. I mean i've had crushes on people that knew I was out but it's not like I told them that I liked them.

The situation has never come up, but if it did, yes I would avoid doing so.
