    I lurked without joining for about 2 months, at a guess. Just browsing and reading the threads on here already gave me a ton of invaluable information.

    I've been lurking EC since I was 19~

    I usually lurk a website at least for a year before I join.

    And even then I usually quit after a year.

    I don't have commitment issues! LOL

    I value my time very much.

    I stumbled on this website a few years ago actually. I would come on here, read some posts and do other things. A few months ago, I was wondering to myself, "I wonder if there are any LGBT websites I could join...?" Then I thought to myself, "Oh yeah, Empty Closets." So I joined... Didn't really take me long to actually post anything but it did take me a long time after finding this website to actually join.

    I stumbled upon this website through a Google search. When I find a new online community, I tend to just read the posts for a while before joining in with the discussion.

    Simply browsing the site and reading the posts gave me a lot of useful information.

    I lurked for a few months before registering an account here at EC. Once I had joined the forum I made my first post within a few days of joining.

    I lurked for a while before I joined. Then I joined but made no posts.

    I think my first post was a post report on someone using fake pics, and then there was a long gap, maybe close to a year, where I wasn't posting at all. My posting frequency has been pretty consistent since then. :slight_smile:

    That's very similar to what happened to me. I found the forum after looking up resources for people questioning thier sexuality. I was a little hesitant to join because I never joined an LGBT forum before. I didn't know if the people here would want to help someone who doesn't even know what her sexuality is. But after reading a couple threads and seeing how supportive and helpful everyone was, I made my account and made my first post a few days later.

    I didn't lurk - I took a quick look around and then posted. :slight_smile: I think I recognised this was a cool community, and it reminded me of a similar one that helped me out a lot when I was younger. I sort of regretted not becoming a bigger part of that community, so I wasn't going to make the same mistake twice! This time I was going to get stuck in!
