Interesting. I was recently thinking about making this poll myself, but I was going to add more than 2 animals, just to broaden the options. Looks like I don't really have to make that now, thanks for saving me the trouble! :icon_bigg

    (P.S., cats)

    Dogs rule, cats drool! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Cats are self absorbed, spoiled bitches and assholes that don't love you and never will no matter how much you wish for it to be true!

Those evil creatures must be banned from every country, I tell you... hide yo kids and hide yo wife!

Cats are cute, soft, intelligent, curious, adventurous, affectionate, loving and agile.

    Simply adorable!!! <3

Don't ever say that about a cat, or I will ban you from the country!!! X3

Cats. I find cats a lot cuter than dogs, a lot easier to take care of, and to be honest, I find it kinda annoying when dogs bark every time they see a stranger or another animal.

I'm not saying I hate dogs, but they can be a handful, and sometimes it's just too much for me to deal with. And a lot of people say that they bond more closely with dogs than with cats, but honestly, both of my cats are extremely loving and affectionate, just as much as some dogs I've met.

Oh geez what bad experiences have you had with cats?

Cats are sometimes a little lazy, but I like that they are just kinda there and don't jump on you or lick you or anything. (Still love dogs though I prefer cats) They're also inexpensive and my cousins own the most adorable grumpy kitty in the world. Her name is Shyra and she gives you the stink eye a lot but she's very loving and she would never bite you.

(I also own a kitten named Jewel, she's the cutest thing ever)

Generally, cats don't trigger my fear of engulfment, so they get my vote.

Bigger dogs can be okay, but I don't like little dogs. A terrier bit me when I was a child and one of my neighbors thought it was funny to set his dog on me, so yeah.

It's kind of strange though because I've been clawed by cats and I didn't care.

I'm definitely a cat person. Dogs are alright too, but I find them too needy and in-your-face. Cats can tend to themselves and, like me, tend to like their fair share of private time.

Plus, it takes a lot to be killed by a suddenly enraged cat, unlike dogs. I always have a fear in the back of my head that the dog I'm interacting with will all of a sudden snap :S

I like dogs, but prefer cats.
I think that cats are much more complex and conscious than dogs. As an example, dogs will just blindly be loyal to prettty much anybody before training, while cats are much more reserved as to who they are loyal to.

Dogs! They are loving and loyal! Plus it is easy to know their emotion, unlike those cats that are the masters of resting bitch face.

Dogs for me and it always will be. I have a Dogue de Bordeaux (Hooch from T&H), and I can't imagine not having another or one of the same size (or bigger). I love cats too and have had plenty and will again but dogs give me an excuse to walk in the pouring rain and I love coming home after being out for the day and seeing a big, huge, slobbery, serious dog just turn to absolute mush as you walk in the door. Big dogs are great bodyguards too.

Cats. An independent animal, that shows affection when it feels like it.

As I identify with such a personality, the cat appeals to me more.

Cats are also considerably cleaner and better smelling animals than dogs, most of which have a body odour that cannot be completely removed... For this reason, I dislike touching or being touched by dogs. They leave a most obnoxious smell.

I am not a fan of the constant barking either. My neighbours have a dog and it drives me insane, especially when it wakes me up in the daytime...

I don't find most dog breeds physically attractive either.

    I prefer dogs by far.

I'm convinced that cats are plotting to eventually kill off all humans and takeover the world.

I voted both. I feel like dogs can cats both have a lot to offer and are great animals.

Dogs are really loyal and energetic and will greet you at the door and protect you to the death. They're cute and playful, but they do require a lot of maintenance.

Cats can also be sociable and will sit with you and relax you after a long day. They usually don't require as much maintenance and can be playful too. I feel like they're loyal, but they just don't feel the need to follow you 24/7 like a dog.

Sometimes I feel like I have a deeper connection with animals than with humans. I don't have to worry about them judging me and I like to interact and play with them. Occasionally I'm a bit cautious around some breeds or animals, but that really says more about me than them.

Woot woot! Keep up the votes, fellow cat people. Everyone knows cats are the superior species... anyone who says otherwise is simply in denial =^..^=
