Hated it in school. If I never had to it would be fine with me. That said in front of a boyfriend ok.

Oh, I'd never do that, It'd be impossible for me not to get aroused.

Unless it was with unattractive guys which would be an equally miserable experience.

This is exactly like me. I go to the gym somewhat regularly and I've never showered there. I change my shirt before I head home, but then I just shower at home. I'm trying to get comfortable enough to shower in the gym since that is probably more efficient, but it's too intimidating for me now. :icon_redf

Nope, not at all. I'm not that comfortable in my own skin. I can't even wear a tank top at home without feeling weird.

When I was younger (like a LOT younger) I didn't mind it so much. Now I absolutely hate showering in front of anyone. I used to be able to pull off doing it in a swimsuit but I'd rather not do it at all if I can help it. My skin condition also plays a part, since I'm pretty insecure about my scars from that.

Easy ,no. I was an athlete in school and always waited till almost everyone was done before going in.I wasn't really checking the girls out but I'm not an on/off switch either

I'm really not into people seeing my fleshy vessel, so communal showers are a no for me.

I once stayed at this weird motel with a friend, where the shower was just plunked in the middle of the room :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: That was... an interesting experience. It wasn't comfortable by any means, but to say it wasn't dream fodder would be a lie

It doesn't make me uncomfortable, but lets just say I'm not a big fan...

In middle or high school... I wouldn't have done it in a million years.
    Now? Total non-issue.

Here's what's interesting: Once you stretch your boundaries a bit and push yourself into some situation (see my post on the "nudist colony" thread), it's terrifying for about 5 minutes... and then it's a complete non-issue. And, along the way, you develop a whole lot more comfort with your body, no matter how much body image baggage you're holding onto.

In middle school I had no problem with it until I hit puberty and at the same time changed school. I'd either hurry to shower first or stall so I could go last, that way it wouldn't be too crowded. Same thing in high school.
I don't care as much now, it's just something I have to do.

Nope, never. Even if the people around me are my family. I cant even go inside a public bathroom with 3 or more people in it. It just scares the shit out of me

I can understand your concerns, but trust me; no one will laugh at you or give you a look. Just pretend no one's there, if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Absolutely not. Even just changing into my P.E. clothes in the girls locker room makes me very uncomfortable.

I'm even afraid of showering in front of myself. That's how big a problem it is.

I would never be able to shower in front of other people; I'd have a total panic attack.

I shower with others after a rugby game. But don't get completely naked. I keep my underpants on. I don't think I could go in completely naked.
