Gallatin is absolutely correct, zombie films and video games never existed in the WD universe so no one knows what zombies are.

Personally I couldn't disagree more about TWD. I feel as though each season substantially improves upon the last. Season 5 was sheer perfection on nearly every level imaginable for me.

FTWD is off to an okay start, although it suffers from a lot of the same growing pains TWD had early in its run. Mediocre acting, characters who are just plain boring to follow along with, and plot holes up the wazoo.

Season 5 of twd was filled with overly obvious plot holes...

I got bored with Season 5. It all got too depressing, like "which character is going to die this week?".

I don't think I'll bother with FTWD. I just don't see what it is going to add to the original series, just seems more of the same?

Lol yeah I mean I know 'sheer perfection' is kinda overselling it from one perspective. I can't deny that it did have some pretty glaring inconsistencies; especially within the first half of the season where they're on that rescue mission to save Beth. Every season of TWD is like that, which is one of the main flaws of the series as a whole. For me personally though it's just a matter of the storyline gradually becoming more interesting to the point where those aforementioned plot holes become increasingly less annoying. I love Season 5 because the of the character evolutions (specifically Carol's) and the whole Alexandria storyline in the last few episodes.

So far it does kinda feel like they're repeating most of the same beats from the original series, which is frustrating. Nothing has really stood out all that much to me outside of the setting. I'm still having fun with it though, and I'm willing to give the rest of the season a chance. With a lot of shows, they struggle at first because they're just starting out and they're trying to find their voice. Agents of Shield was like that in its first season.

I love how 5 seasons we don't see a single dog and when everyone is on severe starvation 3 dogs show up at once, they kill them, eat them and don't ever question it or mention it again.
And there I was thinking some survivor was in the woods who trained the dogs to sniff out live, moving things and alert the owner of their presence so he can come and deal with it and live in the woods somewhat safely. Nah it's just 3 completely random dogs...

Say what you will but twd writing got extremely lazy.

    On The Walking Dead:

It probably doesn't help that they've strayed away from their source material, which at first was fine, they could cherry pick elements they wanted to incorporate. Now, a few seasons later, the cookie jar is running low on cookies.

Also, it's really hard to do a zombie apocalypse story for many seasons, without it feeling recycled or getting dull. And you can't please those who want more zombie action vs those who want drama and conflict, because one side is always going to feel ripped off.

FTWD has some good actors, the problem isn't the acting per say. It's the crappy material and dialogues that the actors have to work with. AMC is notorious to be cheap, the scripts were probably all rushed!

Despite its flaws I must say episode 3 was incredibly entertaining!

It does, it's not perfect and it does have its flaws but I'm really enjoying it more than WD.

Spoiler for those who haven't seen it:

Aren't those markings the soldiers left on the houses in the end the same ones from telltales twd game? It was back in season 1 towards the end I think, kinda gave me chills when they showed em.

I've only seen the pilot episode (so much for my plans on seeing the last two episodes while I was in Texas), and I think it's just okay. I might need to warm up to it a bit more, but it's just eh to me.

Episode 1 and 2 are a bit on the slow side, it gets much more intense in episode 3!

I'm more excited for this series than for the last few seasons of TWD.

I really liked the episodes that have come out so far and I'm looking forward to the next one...

I think the show has been great so far. It's had me on the edge of my seat.

I've been a walking dead fan since the beginning never miss a showing... Sad fear the walking dead was terrible in my eyes I couldn't get into it will check back after it picks up hopefully but nothing like the original...would like to see them put a plug in for the original like the news saying an officer was shot name rick that be cool...anyways that's my opinion so far
