When/What Year did you come out? (As in decade/year)

came out to my sister around 2 months ago, then to one of my ex-friend (we are no longer friends because she turn out to be super homophobic) a couple of weeks back

so 2015 it is

 

Early 90s--good times, good times.:lol:

 

I came out to everyone as trans in 2013, then I moved. Most people in my new city don't know that I'm trans, but it's not like I really try to hide it.

 

2009 to friends - 9th grade.
2013 to most of my family - Senior year.

 

I told my husband, when we met, in 1997. I told a few people prior to that. None of those people are still in my life. One was an ex & a dbag, so, don't want him around. The others just faded away. I don't tell everyone. It's on a need to know basis.

 

I can't remember what exact month this year I came out but I know it was during the last few months of school.

I remember that I was hoping for my mom to bring up the gay topic and when she didn't I kept coming back to it and then the question popped up about whether I was gay or not.

Whew, my body was burning so much especially my face and I had trouble get the words out until I said "yes, I am."

I remember thinking to myself that I wasn't going to cry even though I felt normal but the tears just came out on their own.

Boy, what an experience that was!

 

Started in 2013, 2014 I really amped it up & now I'm filling in the gaps. I'm not fully out but I'm getting there.

 

If I remember properly, I came out on November 27, 2008. I have been out for a while. There was really no part of me that ever intended to hide it.

 

First came out in September of 2014. Still coming out but I voted for 2011-2015.

 

I was 27 and I came out to a friend aswell as myself

 

Mostly this year.

 

Still not out, and don't see it ever happening at this point, unfortunately.

 

I don't precisely remember, but it was somewhere in between 1996 and 2000. I was in my early 20's, so probably closer to '96.

 

I first came out over 25 years ago when I was 15 to a friend at school told my family about 18 months after that I feel so old now .

 

2005-2008 were the major coming outs. It's not like you're ever really done with it though.

 

Last year, when I was Christian, someone accused me of being homophobic based on being christian alone, and I came out to that guy as Bisexual. He was the first. I guess I was simply indifferent to whether or not I came out at the time, mainly because there are so many LGBT individuals in my family so I never felt ashamed of myself or afraid even when the "gaydar" of my classmates was constantly going off and I was bullied by homophobic classmates back in School.

 

Through 2006 and onward. I kept coming out as different things! If I updated any of my friends now, they'd probably be so confused.

 

Just this year. I came out to my first friend in mid-June, and another friend in late June. I decided to come out to a third close friend of mine in early July. Last, but certainly not least, I just came out to my mom this past week.

 

Came out last year to the people that matter the most.

 

I started coming out to people in February 2014. I'm still not out to most friends and family but I'm at the point where I'm not going to hide it with any new people that I meet if it comes up.
