Pride?

So today someone asked me to go to a Pride next month, but I've never been to any before so I don't know what to expect. I already kind of said yes, so if my parents approve I will be going.

Anyway, question is:
Have you ever been to a Pride and if so, tell me your experiences.

I've been to one,before I really came out.July 1st 2013 in Toronto. It was awesome. Nice people,as unique as snowflakes,were everywhere.The warmth of the people was amazing.It was at this point when I knew I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. I could gush on for hours about my experience but you get the point.GO !!!

 

Never officially been but I've been to pride events. I went to pride bowling. The year before I was on the outskirts of world pride in Toronto a block away but was too busy to pop over & really see what was going on.

 

My bf asked me to go to pride with him and I really don't want to....... Lol. I've been once; that was enough for me...

 

I've been 5 years in a row to one, and 3 times to one in another city.
Can honestly say I've enjoyed going every time.
It was actually a really cool feeling to actually go, and especially so for that first time..

(I always went by myself.. if you have a friend who wants to go, that'd make it even better)

 

Never been, would love to be.

 

If you got someone to go with then you should definitely go. I sort of missed out when I went there alone with not much to do. Its just nice to see an occasion where openly gayness is around you.

 

Thanks for your opinions! I think I want to go, but my parents are kind of trying to talk me out of it. They don't say I can't go, but they aren't enthousiast about it either. I'll see.. I hope I'm allowed to go, because I think it would be fun.
