Walking Dead. The gay couple, Aaron and Eric, just came in recently in the show.

Looking, Ointb and Queer as folk are the ones I liked the most, although I haven't finished the last one yet.
I dropped sense8 after 30 seconds maybe I should give it another try.

This isn't a drama that tackles issues of the LGBT community, but I really like House of Cards (US)'s Rachel, I finally get to see a lesbian couple and the stereotypes of butchness, top or bottom isn't displayed.

Agreed, everything is a bit over dramatic...

I do enjoy the drama in scandal/grey's anatomy sometimes but it also makes me dislike their portrayal of lgbt people.

Yeah, Glee has a tendency to reuse plots, recycle characters, and give you nothing interesting about those recycled characters and plots. It just becomes utter trash after season 3-4.

    WHATWHATWHATWHATWHATWHATWHATWHATWHAT OMFG ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!

On a side note, they're not about LGBT but they're mentioned and accepted.
Legend of Korra, the last two seasons have hinting moments between Korra and Asami. Then it's the finale, there are comics coming out that will have their relationship.

Also, Steven Universe makes NO effort to hide the blatant LGBT characters later in the series. Pearl had/has a HUGE crush on Rose, and, well, Garnet is... Garnet... That's all I'll say to avoid a spoiler
    (Ruby and Sapphire)
    Okay THATS all

    Queer as Folk
Modern Family (did not watch beyond the first season, just did not keep my attention)
    Sense8
United States of Tara (Really recommend this one, good humor and drama, main character is a mother with multiple personality disorder and her son is gay and unofficially out of the closet)
Legend of Korra (also really recommended)
    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

These are only the ones I liked, Modern Family only the first season.
I've watched others but cannot even remember the titles, that's how little impact they had.

Hm how do you define an LGBT tv show? Most shows at least try to have some LGBT representation.
Sense8 should get special mention for having a gay man AND a trans lesbian- most shows opt for 1 LGBT character and potentially a partner. It also has some really great themes and contrasts in the stories of the LGBT leads.
House of Cards also gets points for not making a HUGE deal whenever a character is shown to have same-sex leanings.
Buffy is another favourite show of mine that was brave enough to introduce a gay character when that wasn't the done thing.

I really dislike Glee in general, a big part of it comes from the strange habit of putting Kurt on a pedestal/ altering the in-show morality to make him seem the victim. He's just this strange mary-sue, wish fulfillment figure for a lot of people, and I really don't think the character is great in terms of being a rolemodel. (apologies to fans of the show, just my two cents).

Also not a fan of Queer as folk- the Uk version at any rate. Saw it at a time when I was still trying to work out what being gay meant, and it didn't give me a great impression of the gay community.

I don't think I've seen an average gay person who does his taxes and pays the bills and hangs out with friends like normal people do in Glee, he's not a good representation of the gay community (but then again hardly anyone is nowadays). I find Schuster (or however you spell your name) a bit nauseating too, just to add to on top of Kurt.

-Degrassi (I love Adam's character, and he was one of the first LGBT type of situations I saw on TV when I was younger way before I even knew what Transgender was and it has stuck with me ever since)
    -Glee
    -Legend of Korra
