I do as others have pointed out I feel pretty out of place with my LGBT friends to. Maybe I'm just strange around people :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

I'm out of place with almost everybody, regardless of their sexuality. Come on now...

Literally all but one of my friends are straight and cis and the majority of them are male. It can get a little awkward at times like the other night when somehow the all got looking at 'soft porn'. Needless to say that I was, for at least an hour very left out. I happened to question out loud why all of my friends were straight and one of them replied, in a very matter of fact tone with 'Why are you gay?'.

I don't know why but in my entire year at school there are only 4 or 5 LGBTQI+ people and I'm the only who is gay (technically). Everyone else is bi.

I would say I'm not all that out of place with straight guys as I only talk to my guy friends, one on one, it helps because I'm always nervous when I talk to guy friends in groups. That is when I'm out of place, you can tell I was out of place even talking about women. I do have interests from both the gay guy (fashion and other things) straight guys(video gaming, tabletop wargaming(WH40K), so I'm not always out of place in that case, but if they start talking about girls, then I feel a little out of place cause I'm not interested in women although I do know what a conventionally attractive woman looks like).

That's the reason why I have cut down on my circle of friends for a while now, It's just less frustrating that way.

Straight guys usually have the habit of checking out girls or talking about that one ''chick'' that they want to bang or have a date with and here I am with a confused look on my face trying to pretend I'm busy haha...... It's just really unconfortable for me. I either end up being the super innocent guy or the odd one out.

Huge problem for me since I love hanging with all types of guys rather than girls.

I have a lot of straight guy friends. I actually prefer to hang out with guys... If we discuss women, I obviously fit right in. But I mean it's not like we sit around discussing it.

I never feel out of place with my straight female friends, either. They're adults, have lives, some have boyfriends... We don't sit in a circle and rate "hot guys." Of course sometimes my friends might pass a good looking guy and mention that he's good looking but that doesn't make me feel out of place.

Not really, they're my friends so we have a good time together. Although sometimes I do when we're talking about relationships or dating or all that, it can feel frustrating or isolating. I think it might (or might not, I don't know), be better if I was out to them, which I'm not.

Which means that when I hang out with my friends- all of whom are either straight or in the closet- they'd mostly all assume that I am too. I'm not really able to say much about it when we sometimes end up talking about relationships and obviously most of them think and assume that I like guys, etc etc etc.

It gets to be a problem when my straight friends sprout sort of homophobic comments or all that, which has happened occasionally- thankfully not frequently. Or when we end up talking about LGBTQIA+ issues which we also sometimes do and I'm really unable to be fully open about what I think and feel. I try to give my opinion and sort of counter their arguments when they're being narrowminded about it, but it doesn't always work.

There are some weird instances when my co-workers (not really close friends but they're okay to hang out with during work) tries to "convert" me back to being completely straight ... T'was annoying at first buy I'm already used to it. I know what I am and I hate explaining myself
