Some of the posts got me thinking about "The Perfect Storm," which I've never seen.

The RMS Titanic, of course. My personal preference is a Baltimore schooner, had a chance to crew on one up in Maine. Only time I sailed on anything over 35'.

My favorite is Austin Powers' father's yacht, the S.S. Shag-At-Sea.

If I ever have a yacht, I'm totally naming it that

They do! From what I hear, there's not too much room on one, all in all: they're mainly engine.

I love all of them, don't have a favourite. As long as we are not talking about 'Life of Pi', it's okay...

However there is something about submarines, like cap. Nemo's nautilus

    Or 'Das Boot'

A small sloop called "Dove" which was sailed around the world by a very young solo sailor, Robin Lee Graham, who started his five-year journey in 1965 at the age of 16 from San Pedro, California, and whose story was profiled in three separate issues of National Geographic, 2 books and a movie.

For a time in my late teens I was quite obsessed with this story, and I credit my love of sailing to this wonderful adventure. In retrospect, I found him to be incredibly attractive as well, but as usual, I did not equate that attraction with anything specific about me...
