    Ambimature ^.^

    Sometimes I act like I'm 4, sometimes like I'm 84.

    Maturity is relative.

As a child and teen, I was always mature for my age. My speech pattern, outlook, strong convictions, interests, ability to converse, etc. I gravitated towards people above my age group and was frustrated by how young everyone around me was. I chose to become a boarder when I started high school, to get a taste of freedom from my (excellent) parents.

Then I arrived in uni, was confronted with a situation I had never faced before, and reacted in an extremely immature way. And I understand why I reacted that way to that particular, very difficult situation, and I grew from it. It opened my eyes up to my immaturity, and how much I still have to learn. I doubt I'll ever truly feel completely mature.

am at an age where i should really be acting mature setting an example for others, but I still like to think I still have some immaturity left in me.

Depends on the situation, so I'll say both.

Physically immature, mentally more mature than my age group. However I'm still bound to that bracket of mental development and thus must accept that I'm not fully mature yet - even if I expect myself to be.

This is almost paradoxal, if one says immature, they are being modest, which makes them mature, but if one says mature, they are bragging, which makes them immature.

"Mature" enough when I'm around adults in public...
Horrendously immature when with friends or in a safe environment that I can let my hair down... and yes... horrendously immature when a sex joke turns up out of the middle of nowhere.

Probably both; even through most people say I am way too mature for my age.

I have been called mature for my age and even an old soul (I'm not exactly sure what that means). On the other hand I have this inner child that just loves being silly and consequently results in immaturity.

    So both it is!

I'd like to think of myself as mature in appropriate situations, but really I'm a child inside.
