It depends. I'm plotting a purge of my friends list soon anyway, to get rid of the people I never speak to and don't really want to stay in touch with so it could just be a jumpstart on my decisions. My bigoted family has to stay because I don't want them to know yet.

Most likely would. I'll try to talk to them first, though, and if they are willing to learn, I'll probably not delete them. But if they are being aggressive a-holes, then they're 'bye Felicia'.

Absolutely. I don't have a single friend against support marriage equality, let alone one who actively opposes the extended rights of sexual minorities. I'm sure a small handful might be quiet about it (especially as regards gender minorities), but I'd be more than happy to have them out of my life were I to find out.

I don't want my social media environment to be a stressful.

It depends on how they go about expressing their disagreement. If they get ugly and hateful, I'd probably give them the boot. If not, I remember when I used to think just like them, so I can't cast stones. I can only hope they eventually realize why they're wrong.

It's the unwillingness to even discuss the issue and put their fingers in their ears that gets me.

I barely get on Facebook, but I've blockt folx for way less. The few times I do get on I don't wanna see any negativity, or anybody who I wouldn't fuck with irl. So I delete people quite often, or at the very least I unfollow them so I don't see what they post.

They have a right to their own opinion but I do believe there is a boundary to this. If I'm good friends with them but they don't support lgbt thats their opinion they can do whatever they like, we can agree to disagree. As long as they don't make homophobic jokes, make hate speeches, or attack me for being gay.

If they were actually a good friend in real life then I guess I'd keep them on, but other than that, bye bye...

Of course....I have deleted "friends" for racist, misogynist, transphobic and homophobic posts before and I'd do it again in an instant.

This is a very relevant question at the moment for me since my brother decided to "take a stand" today.... I love him but.... Ugh.... Idk... I'm so mad I just wanna scream at him... I knew I couldn't come out to him..... Why even bother...

Some of my fb friends dont agree with same sex marriage and others are homophobic! But I sometimes post thing realated with the LGBT community and they might see it. I mean most of them dont even know that gay prides exist.I want to raise awarenes and visibility. But if someone start posting homophobic and offensive things I will delete them.

No, I don't delete people who have more extreme political beliefs as I find what makes them vote can be quite interesting and contradictory. Also I just like debating for the sake of arguing

If anyone on my facebook was actively speaking out against lgbt rights or being homophobic I'd probably confront them first and then delete. I have considered deleted a girl from work since I found out she's homophobic, but she doesn't say anything about it on facebook. Nobody on my friends list has so far, I have deleted people who were racist though because I'm not interested in seeing that kind of crap.

Yes, I would, if they are openly hateful. I have many FB friends, and if some don't agree with something as basic as gay rights, then they'd be off the list. Don't see any reason to keep a hateful bigot in my list while I'm actively pro gay rights.

My whole family is pretty anti-gay, my sister even saying that gay people "have a mental problem and need mental help" (she's also racist and told me "Black people were better when they were slaves, because then they weren't so full of themselves" ...she's just a bad person, tbh), but I only have one friend who is openly anti same-sex marriage and she's been posting up a storm... she's really awesome otherwise and it makes me so upset to see this side of her T.T

I wouldn't be friends with someone who was against LGBT rights.
