    I'm in the Brazilian city of São Paulo, home to over 12 million people. Being born and raised here, it's a decent city for a third world country. It is dirty and a bit violent and also known for its huge chaotic traffic- you're lucky if you can get to school/work in less than 30 minutes. It is also a very diverse city, home to the biggest Italian and Japanese diasporas. Here you can also find any type of food and entertainment. Many people from the rest of the country say we're conservative and reserved. While the latter may be true, I think we're quite liberal. As an example, our gay pride parade is one of the biggest in the world and has always had the support of the local government.

    I live in Colton, Oregon. It's a tiny, rural town about 40 miles outside Portland. I reside in Colton, but most of my time is spent in Portland which is where I go to school. Portland is a very liberal city. I love it there.
