And I think it was a good move! Initially I felt like a lost puppy because I went by myself and was surrounded by so many strangers, but eventually I found a good place to watch and everyone there was so nice. I felt a lot more comfortable while talking to some people near me at the parade. The parade also lifted my spirits up because so many groups of people you usually don't associate supporting LGBT causes (churches, young children, etc.) were in the middle of the parade showing support. Seeing thousands of gay people and people who support them made me feel less alone in the world. Btw, I could have sworn I saw one of the actors from the TV show Looking (Augustin's boyfriend in season 2) on one of the floats. I could be wrong, but I'm like 97% sure.
Boston Pride? I didn't go because my students would be there... and I've actually bumped into three of them... quite literally and they didn't recognize me... but no way am I taking that chance again. Next year... next year.
Aww, sweetie Professional concerns can get a bit hard sometimes. Hope you can go next year (*hug*) My pride parade is next weekend. I am so excite. :3 :3 :3
I didn't go to a Pride Parade. It came to me! I want to go to one though, parades of any kind are just fun
Happy for you! Are you referring to the Poz bear on the show? Trying to remember who went with Augustin.
Last year was my first time to attend the Sydney Mardi Gras. I went with my eldest child and this year we both returned along with my second eldest child. Lots of fun.
