Do you have an all gay friend group?

    It seems pretty common for people to form these circles where they befriend basically all gay and/or bi people, and I was wondering if any of you guys on here have that. Myself, I actually have mostly straight friends, with one close friend who is a gay guy. I mean I typically befriend people based on shared values, so straight or gay, they might fill that need in my life. I'm not necessarily opposed to it, but it's an interesting thing and I'm wondering if it's as common as it seems like to me. I imagine it's probably not necessarily on purpose. I mean friend groups tend to sort of form however they do. But regardless, who on here has one?

    Nope. I know very few LGBT+ people. I have one friend who is bisexual. I have a few other acquaintances who are but no friends. I really wish I had some friends who were.

    No. I came out in my 20s and had made a lot of friends by then, some straight and some not.

    I wish I had a gay friend group.. I only have 1 other gay friend who lives in another state and a couple other gay "friends" I know through a friend that I only see a few times a year...

    I don't have any lgbt+ friend. My friends are all straight (as I know). Anyway, I would like to meet with lgbt+ people, just to talk and share our experiences, opinions. But in friendship it doesn't matter - what matters the most is personal values, similar interests.

    When I was in high school, I made friends naturally -- and then later learned that a strangely high percentage of them were gay/bi. I found that funny.

    So since high school I've had a nice balance of both cis straight friends, and LGBT friends, and that's cool with me. I like diversity in the people I hang out with. I do go out of my way to meet LGBT people, but the closest friendships I have developed organically, without either of us knowing the other was "family" beforehand.

    I doubt I will ever have an exclusively LGBT group of friends, but I don't really want to, so that's fine by me.

    Nope, I only know one other person IRL who is LGBT. The rest are all boring (straight :grin: )

    I wish I had more gay friends, but my best friend in college is bisexual so I guess we gay together enough. All of my friends are straight except the person I said before. LOL

    No, all of my friends are straight except for one, who I would consider bisexual. However, she seems to want to avoid labels and is in a straight marriage, so while she gets some of what I'm going through she also seems pretty disconnected from LGBT "culture." I would really like to meet some other gay people. I've joined a couple of local meetups, now to force myself to go...

    While I have a great many friendly acquaintances who are straight I would say that most of my really close friends are gay. I went through a period in my twenties where it seemed like I didn't even know any straight people.:lol:

    I have one asexual friend and I know two bisexual and pansexual classmates, but other than that the people in my friend group are either straight or closeted.
