So I applied for Walmart and I got the job!! Ill be unloading the stuff and sorting it from the trucks 4pm-1am four days a week 9$ an hour. Got showed the area and a glimpse of what I'll be doing and tbh it's confusing and fast as hell lol. It's like gogogogogo!!!! So hoping I don't monumentally screw it all up lol. Got my orientation after the drug test for a week then hands on training to show me the ropes. I'm so excited yet incredibly nervous lol. Anyone do this thing before? Like unloading trucks and placing them in the correct spot in the back room. If so any tips or advice or what it's like? Hugs to all!! (&&&)(&&&)

Congratulations! :eusa_clap It's completely normal to feel nervous expecially if you don't have previous experience in that area, just try to make the most out of your training and even if you feel overwhelmed at first, just keep going and with time it'll get easier.

Not at Walmart but I worked for a small warehouse while I was in school for 1 summer. Only advice I have is, if something is heavy and you feel uncomfortable ASK for help. You don't want to risk injury and Walmart doesn't want a workers comp case, never ever be afraid to speak up.

Oh and congratulations! As much as I dislike big box stores Walmart has been turning around the last couple years (thanks to media) they are raising their wages ahead of the federal raise and they often do bonuses.

Congrats! I've worked in a factory before unloading trucks and containers and it's very repetitious and strenuous work. However, if you're working with other people, it's a bit more bearable. My advice is to always be active, even if there's nothing to do at that moment of time and work hard so you can make a good impression. Don't stand around aimlessly and talkā€”keep moving and take initiative.

    All the best!

Come on, Master, a job is a job. We are all wage slaves to capital anyway.

Once again, Akira, happy for you.
