Remind me to not have coffee before I nap ever again. I had a weird dream that a serial killer was living with me and he was apprehended by authorities while doing shaving cream art on my beer glasses. What was that???

 If you think about it, you're right, it is very fun. Thinking of a systematic approach to solve a problem only to possibly find out your way is soon to contradict with the theorems and conjectures already placed in mathematics. To me, this is fun. And for some reason, I would argue that this is unlike BSing a paper. If you're talking about good BSing, you're still taking a systematic approach and "spilling" your brain into your words and paragraphs to make sure it actually make sense and not contradicting what you said earlier. I understand what you're saying though.

Your Trig teacher is very wise then. By putting down something and trying something only to find out it does not work, you're not only finding out what you're doing doesn't work, but you're also addressing your own misconception and there lies an opportunity for you to improve your knowledge to not make that mistake again.

You hit the nail right on the head. Research has shown, and very intuitive, that students tend to learn math better when it can be made applicable to them and how it makes an appearance in their lives. This is not something done in classrooms very often. In addition, many people dread math because as children, they saw that they were not good at math. Also, as humans, we have an instinct to dread doing something we're not good at. Imagine a student doing something days on end doing something they're not good at? That would frustrate you and have you grow to hate it. A YouTube channel NumberPhile produced a video on this subject titled 'Why do people hate Mathematics' (video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yexc19j3TjE )

I will say all of mathematics is an acquired taste, not just Algebra. Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, and any other branches of mathematics I've forgotten is an acquired taste.

Haha, Daydreamer! *hacks Facebook like function into EC and likes*

Hmm I'm thinking how the haze of depression can cloud one's judgment pretty bad... and how it's so much more than just feeling bad, like a temporary inability to understand what it's feel to feel good.

Glad I'm not there right now though lol. Some hours ago though jeez.

So whenever arguably the most notable gay guy of all-time in Freddie Mercury is known to be bisexual but many don't even know it, it's hard to say that bi erasure does not exist in some form. Shane Dawson coming out as bi also made this very clear, as it was very saddening seeing many people say he was either joking, or using it as a stepping stone and is actually gay... he's dated women for four years, people, I'm fairly certain he's at least somewhat heterosexual. Sexuality is a spectrum like he said himself, and wherever he falls on that spectrum, we should respect and support him.

I think it stems from the fact that he also has what some would say "gay face" and "gay voice." These terms are loaded and make people assume that if one has the aforementioned characteristics they are gay, not bi.

I never really considered Freddie bi before(although a huge fan of his music), but he was with a woman for quite awhile. I really want to build a shrine to him now. Is that weird?

And yes, I read the responses on the Advocate's FB page and HRC's. HRC was much more accepting. The Advocate crowd was not. I will not be renewing my subscription.

Why does everyone think it is poison ivy when it feels and looks just like latex rashes, and the week before it appeared I was able to pull up poison ivy and nothing happened.
