Well, I was supposed to be in another state for the next two weeks, but it seems that trip will be pushed back to late July. So, this wasn't much of a hiatus. More of a short break.

In other news, House of Cards is officially my new favorite show after finishing the second season. I don't even care about the plot in most episodes. The show is 90% banter and facial expressions, but it manages to be so satisfying.

Ah, looks like that straight pride pic is making a comeback on FB.

Yep, woke up to my dad going on his anti-gay rant today. Oh don't worry, he has no problem with gays he says.. but gay marriage is against the Bible! Christians are the victims! Muslims are evil and we have been fooled!
And then he laughs while saying ISIS killed several gay men during pride. Talk about scary.
Man I wish I didn't have to live here sometimes. At least my mom thinks most of what he says is crazy too, but he does have an affect on her.

I don't remember him ever being this outspoken on such extreme things. Then he gets sucked into Fox news and televangelism and this happens.

 

It did not take me long to get into that show. I loved it just wish they would put the third season on dvd already.

But there is netflix i can always get it on if i had the time.

 

Not going to my therapy appointment this afternoon because someone forgot to leave the car keys... -______-

Pride was so much fun. However, it's probably going to a very long time before I'm glitter free.

I have many thoughts today.

Let's start with something interesting that happened today. I got a call from somewhere that rejected me for a job a few weeks ago, offering me work! Of course, I had to turn them down as I already got another job, but it was nice to be thought of.

Now onto my more immediate thoughts. It is incredibly difficult to love her. I have known this for a while. I continue to feel it. It makes me sad sometimes because I see other people who get to be with the person they love and have that love reciprocated. Sometimes it brings me close to tears. But I am determined. I will use every ounce of patience I have to continue chipping away at her. I will do anything to win her over. And for now, that means sitting tight and not saying a single word so as not to screw this up. Impatience will NOT get the better of me this time. And hopefully the consequences will be worth it.

 

Wow! A long time LGBT ally who also represented his town in the IICS just posted one of those "marriage is between a man and a woman" posts today. I'm just trying to figure out the amount of cognitive dissonance required to hold these beliefs while also "supporting" gay rights.
