When elders can scold/nag you to their heart's content, and if you talk back, you're being disrespectful-even if what they just did was something they scolded you for doing 'wrongly'. Practise what you preach, I always think.

Being Straight- Honestly I dont see wats wrong or awkward about being lgbt.

Certain Manners- I feel like my mom and g-pa overeact sometimes

Not wearing hats inside- Wtf is my hat gonna do sittin on my head? Insult someone?

Calling a femine guy, gay. Or using gay as an insult- Guess wat? Im gay and I dont wear pink or hav a high pitch voice or hav a good fashion scence. Not all str8 guys likes sports, and not all gay guys like lady gaga. Get over it, were not all the same...

I've always wondered why it's okay for women to wear pants but it's considered weird for men to wear dresses.

Interestingly, there was a time when women wearing pants was a big controversy. Especially blue jeans. But that's come to pass, pretty much, which leaves one with the hope that, maybe, one day, other social norms will too.

Because dresses are considered feminine and society associates femininity with women. Men are valued above women by our patriarchal society. By wearing a dress, a man is 'demoting' himself. By wearing pants, a woman is 'promoting' herself.

    Virginity (Duh!)
Most of our dating and relationship culture
GENDER ROLES, and even in the LGBT community, the problem where people will assume non gender conforming cis/trans people aren't really their gender
Slut shaming, especially since it doesn't apply to men

I never thought of that. True, and yet such a backwards way of thinking.

A lot of it has to do with silly double standards regarding gender (bisexual men don't exist; women can hit men, but not the reverse; masculine women are acceptable, feminine men aren't).

The fact that it's considered normal for women to want to be masculine but weird for men to want to be feminine or even simply to show skin. I see it as covert misogyny, and I'm not going to play along with it. I have good skin, and I like to show it off. I'm not even sure it's about gender. You will pry my daisy dukes out of my cold, dead fingers, my friend, and I don't care if even most gay guys are reluctant to prance around in them. I'm having fun, and that's what matters.

Women changing their surnames when they get married.

Women staying at home to look after the children (this is from both sides - my male colleague spent five years as a 'house husband' and said that women in the childrens' groups always looked at him oddly, like he shouldn't really be there.)

That you automatically have to respect all older people and treat them as if they're smarter than you
