How much confidence do you have that one day you will find your 1 true love?

Voted not at all confident, but not because my outlook is that bleak. I think I'll find love, most likely several times, and maybe one of them will be forever. Maybe not. I don't really believe in a "one true love." I've been in love before and I will be again, that's all I know for sure.

the odds are against me at the moment maybe i'll end up as old grumpy bachelor, but I'll try to stay positive so i have something to look forward to in life...

Like some others, I don't believe in a 'one true love' so, in regards to the thread, I vote not at all confident.

As you'll probably notice in some other posts of mine, I'm not starved for love either; I've lived going on 23 years so far without being in a relationship or having even simply gone on a date, so what's another...what, 77?

I feel I'm more suited for a single life.

 

I know that people do find one person and live with them happily enough for the remainder of their lives. Personally, in a society that values not just love, but a partnership of support in personal growth, I think that growing apart is almost inevitable. At 45 I have had 4 wonderful long relationships that ranged from 4-9 years each and there were very few regrets along the way. While I don't see those people often anymore, I still care about them. But knowing that in each coupling, we both bloomed and went back into the world even better, happier individuals is a pattern I intend to keep going.

I thought I already did but I fucked it up so really, I just don't see myself "hoping" for someone and I let things flow so it's whatever.

 

I chose not at all because I'm really tired of finding that person. Let him/her find me.
One way or another, we'll see each other. I just don't know when, where and how.

I'm not bothered by it. I've gotten used to it.

 

At the moment not confident at all. My circumstances won't allow anything other than a bit on the side so to speak, and that not what I want. I tried it and it was an expensive disaster.
I want a deep meaningful relationship full of love but thats just not possible.

Well, since I'm losing weight and becoming more physically attractive, my confidence is increasing. Right now, I'm only about .4 confidence. Hopefully I can make it to .7 confidence in a couple of months. 176 here I come? ^_^

I had someone that I thought was my soul mate but we weren't meant to be. We thought we would last forever but sometimes things happen and you can't control fate.

 

Well I started online dating again and got success on my first day. The guy is 33, cute and looking for a long term relationship. Just perfect but I know not to overestimate anything and just hope for the best. I feel good about this.
