Someone else on this forum must enjoy Yahtzee's video reviews of video games. If you don't know him then look up Zero Punctuation and your favorite game. He might have done it.
I kinda like his reviews, but I just watch them because I like the jokes, not because I agree with them.
A lot of the times he actually has good points. But the grading scale for his videos is "If he doesn't rip off a game's head and crap down its neck, he probably loved it."
Posting again because my edit timer ran out: Here's a review for a game you can tell he liked, Shadow of Mordor: Shadow of Mordor Review | Zero Punctuation Video Gallery | The Escapist
I also like his Keretic poems. He kind of taught me how its a good idea to be analytic about the things around you and his linguistic and analogies are funny. Here is the first one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq3s6_k2uHM&list=LLqoNZ5QXIK9CNx6EPIQX7mg&index=27
I'm sort of hit and miss with his reviews. His guitar hero 3 review was absolutely hilarious. I'll admit, he wasn't my main reason for visiting The Escapist, but now that everyone else I watched has quit or been fired, I have no other reason to visit the site besides him. Usually every few months I'll binge on a dozen or so new reviews of his.
He's usually funny and makes good points though I don't always agree with him. I haven't watched his videos in awhile
Holy shit! I was just watching him! He's one hell of a guy, and even though I don't always agree with him, I usually do and he's so over the top and fast-paced that it's hilarious. One of my favorite people on Youtube.
My favorite ZP is Wolfenstein because he did the entire thing in limerick form. Observe:
i have seen them ALL at least twice, especially the ones that apply to my genre of games spunkgargleweewee
I really got into ZP for a while a couple years ago, but after a friend pointed out how formulaic he can be, I lost interest. She broke the spell, I guess.
