Usually for me I don't think beards have much of a sexy factor, but they do tend to, on average, boost the "awesome" factor. There is a difference between sexy and awesome, sometimes those categories overlap.

Hmm ... y'know the Dos Equis guy, the Most Interesting Man in the World? I think people would find him on average, like, mathematically less sexy, not to mention far less awesome, without his beard. Like if he started trying to tell you about his life, but didn't have a beard, you'd probably be like, instead of, "oooh so interesting," you'd be saying "who the fuck are you, get away from me." Whereas with, let's say Orlando Bloom, a beard on that guy would probably cause his sexiness power level to drop somewhat, even if he overall had more of an awesome appearance. So I chose "depends."

I'm not attracted to men. But a well maintained beard always makes me go, "wow that actually looks nice." I guess it's like regular head hair, if it's taken care of, and groomed then it can look great.

I use to have beard but almost everyone told me to shave. Weirdly only my male friends told me to keep it. it seemed kinda weird to me.

It actually depends on the person. Some people can pull it off, some can't.

I'm more of a five o' clock shadow guy, really.

    Most of the time, no.

    Sometimes, yes.

I don't like stubble and I don't like goatees. Five o'clock shadows are fine and even hot, especially when a guy with real dark hair has really pale skin.

As far as beards go, they look great when it's a sturdy but not necessarily big, burly guy who has a neatly trimmed dark beard to match his hair and eyes. Also, the same kind of neat, trimmed beard looks good on some studious looking lanky, though not overly tall guys. Glasses optional.

As for the first type described, here you go:

But this guy would also look good clean shaven or with a mustache when that was "the" look.

This thread makes me feel good.

I actually like some beards and was in the majority on this poll - depends / definitely open to them.

I was one of the "jerks" who voted with the unpopular minority in no "tattoos / prefer not to," given the choice. LOL.

There is no denying beards make men look older, and I guess that is appealing to a certain extent, especially if you're a woman.

It depends on the guy, and what type of beard he has. If it's just a bushy mess then that makes him unattractive. If it's neatly trimmed and kept looking decent then it could definitely make him a little more attractive. A goatee is also fine but has to be kept under control, not just a bunch of hair hanging down.

Something like this works for (most) men:

But something like this puts me off:

And something along the lines of this is sometimes cute too (not for everyone though):

I've never been a fan of the so-called "chin strap." Maybe I find it incredibly juvenile-like in my mind. The worst for me, though, is the last one; it screams billy goat to me . Of the four images you posted, the only one remotely attractive to me was the third one. Better he than the other three . Sure, he needs some (major) grooming, but I still find him attractive :help:.

I don't mind relatively short beards, but this trend of bushy ones on younger men?? Sorry but it look a bit banjo territory:lol:

I fall into the majority and voted "depends", because it really does. A beard doesn't necessarily make a man sexier. However, men who can pull off beards can be very sexy.

That goes for people of other genders as well.

However, if it's worth it, I don't know. Depending on the beard, it could potentially hurt my thighs..

It really just depends... I like stubble or thin beards but not full on bushy beards that are out of control...

 It wasn't exactly the image I was looking for. Hold on, I just thought of someone who has a fairly nice goatee (If it's still considered one), which might be more to your taste?

Yeah, the man behind the beard is attractive. But the bushy beard is too distracting, and makes him appear unkempt and in a way it gives the impression that he's not too fond of personal grooming (hygiene, etc.).

Something like this is a little better, though it still looks a bit untidy to my liking:

No. Beards make them completely unfuckable.

It really depends, and honestly it seems to me they look best on men who already have attractive faces.

    I almost forgot:

Personality really counts, for me. If you're at least a decent person, even a most ridiculous beard can be somewhat attractive for me. At the same time, if you're going to be an ass, it really doesn't matter how attractive you look. I will be extremely uninterested, and flaccid as a dried-up water balloon.

Beards are a plus...especially if they're maintained...even long beards need to be trimmed and fussed with...sometimes even more so... they're masculine and I like that and they can be a tremendous tease in bed...not that that I would only go out with someone bearded, but it will get you a second glance.
