I like rock operas. Queensryche's "Operation: Mindcrime" is excellent, Savatage's "Streets" and "Wake of Magellan" are very good, Pink Floyd's "The Wall" is pretty good too. I haven't seen the film version yet. Also, Blue Oyster Cult's "Imaginos" is decent.

Absolutely adore Les Mis, Wicked, Grease, Hairspray, Mama Mia, Lion King (theatre production), Oliver, Matilda, Ghost. There are just too many to mention. Haven't been lucky enough to see phantom yet but my friend was a huge fan and always plays the songs for me.

I realise a lot of these are also films but it's the stage versions I love because they are just incredible live.

I like Les Mis a lot, prefer the book but the musical adaptaption is very breathtaking.
I just finished preforming in the pit orchestra of a production for Mary Poppins (lemme tell you, the professional clarinet part for that is hands down the hardest thing I've EVER had to learn, my band director who's known all over for being amazing even admitted it was difficult.) and actually, I'm not done with it, I got hired for one more show tomorrow.
I'd say Heathers but I'm partly addicted to it because I love the movie and just recently found out there's a musical adaptation haha.
I was a fan of Big as it was the first musical I ever played in, so I'm rather partial to it.
Disney's My Son Pinnochio is a very cute and heartwarming musical and I enjoyed it as well.
The Brain From Planet X is kind of just filled with bad jokes and innuendos but I still liked it hahaha
Phantom of the Opera is, of course, good
    Also, Avenue Q

Opera is fantastic. I would do anything to see Pagliacci performed live. Vesti la Guibba is such a beautiful, haunting aria.

    I love musicals!!!

Les Misérables is great--though I'm not as familiar with it as some of these others.
The Phantom of the Opera is a masterpiece and very classical like.
    Pippin is fun.
Wicked is amazing to see and to listen to.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch--well you can discover this one for yourself
Hairspray is a real fun one.
Cats -- love the whimsical lyrics and catchy music.

My list could keep going so, I'll stop there

There are so many I want to see and haven't. I've seen Wicked twice, that's probably my favourite. I've seen Phantom of the Opera. I want to see RENT, Lion King, Matilda, Grease, Hairspray...

    I love [watching] theatre.

You should read the book Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice. It centers on the Sopranos and castrates of 20th Century Italian Opera, really really good book

    Cats! I forgot Cats!:bang:

Anything Sondheim: Company, Merrily We Roll Along, Pacific Overtures, Assassins, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, all the others. I like most musicals, but think Sondheim's an absolute genius.

I absolutely love Book of Mormon (Turn it Off really hits the nail on the head haha).
    Some other favorites include:
    Wicked
    Into the Woods
    Rent
Hairspray (because I was in it in HS)
Once is my second favorite Broadway performance. Had to see it twice!
