Hey...so I am getting one or two baby chicks (female) on Friday and I don't know what to name them. I don't want like names for chickens, I just want cute names for pets in general. Any ideas? (!)
For some reason... Click & Clack are standing out, to me. For other pets, I'll have to think about that...
In Harvest Moon, I always have at least one chicken named Chica. But its not all that cute. Other than that, my chickens are usually called things like Leopold or Madelaine. Which are also not cute. Just go with what Kaiser said.
Apparently if you give your pets human names, you unconsciously see them as part of your family rather than just an animal you own. I'd go for big elaborate names like Isadora (Izzy for short) or Alberto (Bertie for short) etc.
I read an article about that, which is why I kinda wanted to give them human like names. Thanks for the suggestions!
Just out of curiosity... Why are you getting chicks for pets? I could only recommend male names so no much of help from me... ):
It is kind of like a spring tradition for my family. My grandmother used to get some for us at Easter time, and my sister has kids now and my grandmother is no long with us; so my mother wanted to continue the tradition. We have a family friend that will take them when they get bigger and raise them for eggs. and I'll take male name suggestions if you will give them
I'm sometimes jealous of people having some kind of tradition in family. My has none... :tears: Well recommendations for male names: Peru (accent on 'e'), Ubi (U as in 'you')..
