Kiss me(lesbian movie). It's got a really good storyline plus it has passion and not boring. Blue is the warmest colour
I wasn't the only one to think that! "Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know! Well now they know! Let it go!"
Prayers for Bobby Philadelphia A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story I love those films that can make me cry and thinking. Those that can have a big impact on me and I remember them after years.
I recently just watched "Make the Yuletide Gay". I am totes gonna watch that before Christmas and ON Christmas so I can contemplate on how single and unlovable I am........ I'll list down my other fave films once I've torrented them all!
I watched a film a few years ago, cant remember the tile. It's about a Jewish girl studying to be a Rabbi, i think, and she met this city girl on the boarding school. They were asked to take care of a convicted murderer. It was a wonderful and moving film. Then there's Lawrence anyways. Boys dont cry. Dvojina. Somewhere only we know, a 10 minute short film. Cried like a bitch with that one.
"But I'm a cheerleader" is one of my favorites. It stars Natasha Lyonne. I've seen it several times, and it is a very funny comedy.
Other than everyone's favorite Prayers for Bobby Get Real: Hawai I don't want to go back alone.. My latest find. Best acting in any LGBT movie I've seen. Were the World Mine... Shakespear meets with musicals meets with LGBT... peak of awesomeness Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds. It is also one of my favorite comedy movies. I just finished "The Love of Siam" tonight (technically morning since it's 2 AM) and god, I am literally in tears as I type it. The depictions of love and loss is just so.... realistic that it strikes me. All of it can happen, and the setting for a boy-on boy love is just so relatable as an Asian kid like me. I do hope the ending was a fairy tale one, but it makes sense how it didn't happen. There is still a long way to go before LGBT in Asia is widely accepted, but I still hold on to that hope that I will someday witness that. That someday I will be happy, and will have my own fabulous gay fairy tale ending. Damn, I'll just keep on wiping my tears, then.....
Kiss Me and I Can't Think Straight are my 2 favourites. I also liked Loving Annabelle. There are a few other good ones but those are my favourite.
The Skeleton Twins. It doesn't really count since being gay doesn't have much to do with the plot, but that's sort of part of what makes it great.
Gun Hill Road is a good one for my Trans-lovelies Makes me all misty eyed. Me? Crying? No, no, I just got something in my eye.... Also, Christopher and His Kind, and recently Kill your Darlings
There's a Brazilian film on Netflix called "The Way He Looks", about a blind boy & a new student who develops a crush on him. My friend sent me the short film on YouTube a couple years ago & it was adorable. The full movie was super sweet & actually ended happily.
If you count "Black Swan", then it's my favorite. Otherwise, my next pick is "I Can't Think Straight". My first lesbian movie and the actresses are super hot.
1. Circumstance 2. Bloomington 3. Elena Undone 4. Yes Or No (+sequel) 5. Brokeback Mountain 6. Boy Meets Girl (don't let the name fool u, if u haven't watched it ) even writing the names makes me feel happy :icon_bigg ---------- Post added 1st Jun 2015 at 02:42 PM ---------- it's an edgy movie. straight forward story line. some raw adult scenes are there. it's not completely gross but I didn't die after watching. you should try it, I think
Ya know, since I don't remember watching many lgbt+ films right off the top of my head, I'll use this thread as a sort of list so I can watch some. Thanks everyone!
I'm gonna cheat a little bit since I've also not seen many LGBT+ movies but I have to go with Mamma Mia.
