I love tabletop roleplaying games. I've done D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, D&D 5, and Mage: the Ascension.

    Right here!
From Munchkin, to anything from Flying Frog, to Red Dragon Inn, to DnD.
I love me some table top.

I used to have a regular game night until I moved, how I miss it.

I'm all about that Monte-Cook-crafted-goodness ... yeah I'm talking about Numenera. I design custom foci, I've DM'd once, and made lots of cool characters. I play whenever I get the chance, which is once every few weeks or so. I really can't get enough of it, and wish I could be playing more right this second as a matter of fact.

I LOVE table top gaming. I've got pathfinder, but need people to play it with me. my usual group are doing Dresden Files and are kinda....abroad for a few years :frowning2: But I have a huge collection.

If you like pandemic you should try Flash Point, where you're firefighters saving people from a burning building. it's a similar mechanic but its a little more varied. I love the Lord of the Rings board game and play the expansion where you can be Sauron. Arkham Horror and Elder Sign are great. Anyone played Eldritch Horror? It's meant to be better as it's simpler, but I don't want to fork out £50 if it's not worth it.

Pirates cove is by the same people as ticket to ride and is also awesome. Carcasonne is classic. and Betrayal at house on the Hill.

I've just started playing Magic the Gathering. I can't believe how long its taken me to try it!!

Does Magic: The Gathering count? If so then yes - I am just getting into that.
I've also played HeroQuest a few times.

It is simpler, though it still can be really difficult. They've also really nailed the epic scale of defeating a worldwide menace. Great atmosphere and excellent co-op game. Worth the money, especially if you like H.P. Lovecraft style monsters and mythos - which is sounds like you do!

Hands down the best board game i've played and owned is Fantasy Flights, Game of Thrones. Its like risk without the luck of dice, everything is down to strategy and I love it. Arkham horror is fun too, the novelty soon wears off of co-op play though. I just want to destroy everyone

Oh great  next one on my list then. Just got to find room for it! Can you get, like, expansions for it too? like extra cards and stuff. That's what I've heard.

Is that the one with the map and you move, like, troops? And you each play a house? My friend has that. I'm going to visit her in a few week basically to spend 2 day learning and playing it. I've been dying to since she got it.

Has anyone played some older games, like 221B Baker Street? or Careers, or Scoop?

I've played D&D 3, 3.5, and 4 as well as Pathfinder. One of my friends also ran a Harry Potter tabletop roleplay from a bunch of mashed up rules.

Yup, the first expansion is just cards - however, these really bulk up the game and add another "big monster" to fight, which is a bigger deal than it sounds. There's a brand new expansion which adds an "Antarctica" map to the board which sounds pretty cool - I haven't got that one yet though! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Board games are so expensive!

Me and my mate are big table-top gamers!

    Favorites have been:

    -Pandemic
    -Robinson Crusoe
-Stone Age (my personal fave competitive game, because I always win  And, it's just an awesome game.)
-Scoville (yes a game about planting, breeding and harvesting hot peppers!)
-Tamanay Hall (political control of New York)
    -Mice and Mystics

Ones we still have to play, but are sitting around:

    -Dead of Winter
    -Legacy
    -Quantum
    -Lewis and Clark.

    Then, there's some card games:

    -Diner
    -Landlord
    -Easy Breezy Travel Agency
    -Fluxx (Cthulhu edition)

...and there's ones I'm forgetting. But yes, we like table-top gaming...oddly, I haven't played a video game in years, and prefer these. I think I like the way they're both more physical, and seem more social.

Edit: (Have one Pandemic expansion, but have not tried it yet)

Great choices, HuskyPup! I love Robinson Crusoe even though I've never once beaten it- that is one tough game.

Thanks! It's my partner that got me into this, at first.

Robinson Crusoe is hard...we've made it though a few scenarios, but mainly, we tend to perish! Though I love having the dog, and Friday, in two-player mode.

Also, I like seeing more and more cooperative games; so often, games are seen merely as competition, that I find working together to be a relaxing change of pace.

Though I also like a good competitive game.

It sure is, its quite intimidating to learn at first but so rewarding once you do. My friends and I have weekly board game nights, which features Game of Thrones more often than not.
