I've been really active into the stock market lately (equities, ETFs, and mutual funds) and I was wondering if anyone else does the same.
Ah, what sites/sources do you use to screen stock? I'm trying to improve my skills in picking out "good picks" if that makes sense.
Optionsxpress. I pick a sector/type of business that I feel has potential for growth and then I analyze using their software. I think Bollinger Bands, Linear Regression, Simple Moving Average, and MACD are the best indicators. I don't really find Candlestick graphs to be helpful, so I don't use them. It also helps to pay attention to any press releases or at least be aware of upcoming QE reports.
Not day trading, but I do buy and sell on the stock market, I just stick with industries I know and it's worked out good so far. Thought I'm in it more for the long term so I invest in funds with HL more than stocks TBH.
Wow, I also use OptionsXpress as my broker because of the no minimum, all my friends went with fidelity.
I'm in it more for the long haul. I don't find day trading worth my time or money... says the guy who saw his investment in General Motors go from $30+ a share to zero .
