Yes I am. I find an amazing thought that after I died, some of my organs can be of use. If I can help one person, or if I can help science.. I want to help people, so for me it seems to be the most logical thing to do. :icon_bigg

 

Yep, anything left when I no longer need it can go to those who need it....and any leftovers can be composted.

Does anyone know if homosexuals are allowed to donate organs? I know in many countries the ban on donating blood is still in effect, so I'm not sure you can donate your organs even if you wanted to.

 

I was listed as an organ donor, but I caught hepatitis from some bad shellfish at a wedding and can no longer donate anything, including blood.

Why would I donate my organs to people who I despise? They have never done anything for me, why the hell should I do something so noteworthy for THEM?????

If they want MY organs, they can pay for them.........as **I** have had to pay for everything I have worked for in my life (which isnt much, AND back breaking work I might add)....so WHY should I give myself to anyone like that????

I don't want to be seen as an organ bag you can harvest from. I'm a person, too, even if I'm dead. The thoughts of people hoping to see compatible people die to save their loved ones makes me shudder... I know they're not all like that, but I despise this thought.

If you want something from me, take my blood, my hair, or whatever, but I keep the organs. Anyway, if they ever decide I'm not fit to give blood. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO ASK FOR MY ORGANS! Guess what, blood goes into organs, so if the blood is not ok, the organs are not either. If I ever needed organ transplants to survive, I'd just accept my death. I'm not the kind who doesn't want to give and asks for some in return.

You know, they should really work into growing organs. THAT would be a perfect solution!

Yep. I'll have no use for them when I'm dead so someone else might as well have them.

 

I have numerous health conditions, several of which prevent me from donating organs and blood. I do have my on my advance directive that I would like my body to be donated to either the body farm, or a medical school.

 

No. I haven't even given it much thought. I don't think it would be a good idea for me to donate since, I have some health issues/concerns.

Not yet but I plan on it when I get my license. If my life has to end prematurely for whatever reason I might as well help to prevent someone else's from ending so.

 

I'm not, just out of a paranoid fear they'll steal my organs when I'm in a low energy state or after declaring my dead by mistake.
